Cover Model
A cover model is a male or female whose photograph appears on the front cover of a magazine. The cover model is generally a fashion model, celebrity, or contest winner. Generally, cover models are depicted solitarily; however, on occasion magazines will present a front cover with multiple cover models. Female cover models are often referred to as cover girls. Cover models generally take part in a fashion or portrait photography photo shoot for the magazine. When a magazine depicts a candid or stock photography, stock image for the main cover image, the talent is referred to as the magazine "cover" rather than "cover model" or "cover girl". Lynn Eleanor Kohlman (August 12, 1946—September 14, 2008) was a fashion model, photographer, author, and creative director at DKNY. Biography Kohlman was born in Teaneck, New Jersey to Clement Wolfe Kohlman (1916–2000), and his wife, Eleanor. She majored in art history at Oberlin College, graduating summa cum laude, and was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society. While at Oberlin, she spent one semester in Florence, Italy, helping restore works of art. She began as a fashion model while in high school and appeared on the covers of major fashion magazines. Ingrid Boulting was born in Transvaal in 1947 – daughter of actress turned fashion model Enid Munnik (later Enid Boulting from her 2nd marriage in 1951) step-daughter of English film-maker Roy Boulting and step-niece of John Boulting and Sydney Boulting a.k.a. Peter Cotes. Boulting was brought up from age two to nine by her grand-parents when her mother moved to London in 1949 to start a career as one of the most successful fashion models of the 1950s and early 1960s. Justin de Villeneuve (born Nigel Jonathan Davies) is a British businessman, known for being supermodel Twiggy's manager from 1966 to 1973.
