The fastest times swum in events at the Universiades (World University Games) are listed by International University Sports Federation (FISU) as a list of Universiade records in swimming. Swimming has been part of every Universiade, and the events are always held in a long course (50 m) pool. The last Universiade was held in Naples, Italy in 2019. All records were set in finals unless noted otherwise. Universiade
The Universiade is an international multi-sport event, organized for university athletes by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The name is a portmanteau of the words "University" and "Olympiad". The Universiade is referred to in English as the World University Games or World Student Games; however, this latter term can also refer to competitions for sub-University grades students. In July 2020 as part of a new branding system by the FISU, it was stated that the Universiade will be officially branded as the FISU World University Games. The most recent games were held in 2019: the 2019 Winter Universiade, Winter Universiade was held in Krasnoyarsk, Russia while the 2019 Summer Universiade, Summer Universiade was held in Naples, Italy. Vladimir Viktorovich Morozov (russian: Владимир Викторович Морозов; born 16 June 1992) is a Russian competitive swimmer and Olympic medalist. He is the former world record holder in the short course 100-metre individual medley, the current textile world record, World Cup record and Russian national record holder in the 100-metre individual medley and 100-metre freestyle (short course), and Russian record holder in the 50-metre freestyle (short course and long course). He also holds the European record for the 100-metre individual medley. Formerly he held the Russian national record in the 50-metre backstroke (long course) and the 50-metre butterfly (short course), and held the European and Russian records in the 50-metre breaststroke (short course). Qin Haiyang ( zh, 覃海洋, born 17 May 1999) is a Chinese swimmer who specializes in the breaststroke and individual medley. He is the current world record holder in the 200m breaststroke. At the 2023 World Aquatics Championships, Qin became the first swimmer in history to win all three breaststroke events at a single edition of the championships. Qin was also the former world junior record holder in the 200m breaststroke and 200m individual medley. In 2023, Qin became the first Asian swimmer to be named as the Male Swimmer of the Year by World Aquatics.
