The Sentinel (TV Series)
''The Sentinel'' is an action crime drama series that aired on UPN in the United States from March 20, 1996 to May 24, 1999. It premiered on March 20, 1996, and ran for 65 episodes over four seasons. The series later re-aired on Syfy. Plot overview Jim Ellison was a US Army Ranger who spent 18 months in the Peruvian jungle after the rest of his unit was killed. He developed hyperacute senses from surviving in the wild, but repressed them when he returned to civilization. His sensory abilities re-manifested five years later, while conducting an extended stakeout in the forest as a detective in the Major Crimes Unit of the Cascade, Washington, police department. He went to a hospital for an examination where he met Blair Sandburg, an anthropologist from Rainier University, whom Ellison initially mistook for a physician. Upon hearing Ellison's story, Sandburg declares that Ellison is a "Sentinel": in ancient tribes, Sentinels used their enhanced senses to protect their village. ... Danny Bilson
Daniel Bilson (born July 26, 1956) is an American writer, director, and producer of movies, television, video games, and comic books. Together with his frequent collaborator, Paul De Meo, he is best known as the writer for the film ''The Rocketeer'' (1991) and creator, writer, producer and director for the television series ''Viper'' (1994, 1996)'', The Sentinel'' (1996) and ''The Flash'' (1990). He has written multiple issues of the comic book ''The Flash'', as well as scripts for multiple video games, including '' James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing'' (2003). Paul DeMeo
Paul James De Meo (June 4, 1953 – February 26, 2018) was an American screenwriter and producer for film, television and video games. He frequently worked with Danny Bilson. Together, they wrote '' Eliminators'' (1986), ''The Rocketeer'' (1991), the video game '' James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing'' (2003), the television series ''Viper'' (1994, 1996), '' The Sentinel'' (1996), and both the television and comic book series of '' The Flash'' (1990). ''Da 5 Bloods'' (2020), based on a screenplay written by De Meo and Bilson, was released posthumously. He wrote two comics based on the ''Red Faction'' series: ''Armegeddon'' and ''Red Faction: Guerrilla: A Fire On Mars'' produced by Wildstorm Comics. Bruce Bilson (born May 19, 1928) is an American film director and television director. He is most notable for his work as a regular director on the spy spoof ''Get Smart''. He won the 1967–1968 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series for the third season ''Get Smart'' episode "Maxwell Smart, Private Eye". Gail Morgan Hickman (born December 14, 1953) is an American producer and writer of film and television. His first major writing credit was for the ''Dirty Harry'' film '' The Enforcer'' (1976).
