List Of The New 52 Publications
In September 2011, DC Comics relaunched their entire line of publications, dubbing the new publishing initiative as The New 52. The initiative consisted of a new imprint of titles, all labeled with "The New 52" logo, as well as creating a rebooted DC Universe post-" Flashpoint" that saw characters from the former WildStorm and Vertigo imprints being absorbed into the main DC Comics line. The intent was to publish 52 ongoing titles each month across the DC Universe. However, DC has also counted one-shots, miniseries and maxiseries in that number. In June 2015, following the conclusion of the ''Convergence'' miniseries, "The New 52" branding and imprint were discontinued, although the continuity continued under a new initiative, "DC You". In February 2016, DC announced the Rebirth initiative, bringing an end to the New 52 beginning in June 2016. Aquaman (comic Book)
Aquaman is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Created by Paul Norris and Mort Weisinger, the character debuted in ''More Fun Comics'' #73 (November 1941). The character is a pastiche of Namor. Initially a backup feature in DC's anthology titles, Aquaman later starred in several volumes of a solo comic book series. During the late 1950s and 1960s superhero-revival period known as the Silver Age of Comic Books, Silver Age, he was a founding member of the Justice League. In the 1990s Modern Age of Comic Books, Modern Age, writers interpreted Aquaman's character more seriously, with storylines depicting the weight of his role as king of Atlantis (DC Comics), Atlantis. Genevieve Valentine (born 1981) is an American science fiction and fantasy writer. Her first novel, ''Mechanique: A tale of the Circus Tresaulti'', won the Crawford Award for a first fantasy novel, and was shortlisted for the Nebula. Genevieve Valentine is currently writing ''The Persona Series'' for Saga Press (edited by Navah Wolfe), a science fiction thriller series which so far includes the novels ''Persona'' (2015) and ''Icon'' (2016). From 2014 until 2015, Valentine scripted a new series for DC Comics featuring Catwoman, working with artists Garry Brown and David Messina. ''Catwoman'' is an ongoing American comic book series featuring the DC Comics character Catwoman as its protagonist. The title was first released in 1989 as a limited series written by Mindy Newell, and was since published as an ongoing series starting in 1993 with its second volume. Publication history Volume 1 (1989) Because of satisfactory reception to Mindy Newell's 1988 ''Action Comics'' arc featuring Catwoman, "The Tin Roof Club", in February 1989, DC Comics released a four-issue Catwoman limited series penned by Newell, with art by Joe Brozowski and Michael Bair. James W. "Jim" Gordon, Sr. is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, most commonly in association with the superhero Batman.
