Telugu cinema, also known as Tollywood, is the segment of Indian cinema dedicated to the production of motion pictures in the Telugu language, widely spoken in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Telugu cinema is based in Film Nagar, Hyderabad, India. The nickname ''Tollywood'' is a portmanteau of the words Telugu and Hollywood. By 2021, it has emerged as the largest film industry in India in terms of box-office. ''Bandhavyalu'' is a 1968 Telugu film produced and directed by S. V. Ranga Rao. The film is a remake of the Tamil movie Kan Kanda Deivam and also launched the Telugu foray for the South female superstar, Lakshmi. Plot Ranga Rao is the landlord in a village. He lives with his brother Dhulipala. Savithri, wife of Dhulipala, takes care of the daily chores very well. They have three sons, who study in town. Chandra Mohan (born Mallampalli Chandrasekhara Rao; 23 May 1944) is an Indian actor known for his works predominantly in Telugu films. He has garnered one Filmfare Award South and two Nandi Awards. He received critical reception for his performance in box office hits such as '' Rangula Ratnam'' (1966) for which he received the state Nandi Award for Best Actor, ''Padaharella Vayasu'' (1978) for which he won the Filmfare Best Actor Award (Telugu), and ''Siri Siri Muvva'' (1978). Bharathi Vishnuvardhan (born 15 August 1950), also known mononymously as Bharathi, is an Indian actress known primarily for her work in Kannada cinema and television serials. Vasundhara Devi (born 16 August 1939), known by her stage name Kanchana, is an Indian actress who worked in Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada films, in addition to Malayalam and Hindi films. Early life and Career Kanchana was born as Vasundhra Devi on 16 August 1939 in Madras, Tamil Nadu of India to a Telugu-speaking family. Her father suffered business losses, and she went to work as an air hostess to support her family, when she was discovered by a friend of film director C. V.
