Ana Torrent Bertrán de Lis (born 12 July 1966) is a Spanish film actress. Early life and career Her debut came in 1973 with the starring role as "Ana" in the film ''El espíritu de la colmena'' (''The Spirit of the Beehive''), directed by Víctor Erice, when she was seven years old. This was followed by another memorable role in which she played another character with the same name in ''Cría Cuervos'' (''Raise Ravens'') (1976) by director Carlos Saura. In 1989, Torrent performed with Sharon Stone in the film '' Blood and Sand'' directed by Javier Elorrieta. ''Yoyes'' is a 2000 Spanish political drama film directed by consisting of a fictionalized reconstruction of the life of María Dolores Katarain (aka Yoyes), a female member of ETA (separatist group), ETA, who was targeted by that organization upon her return to the Basque Country (autonomous community), Basque Country. Synopsis In the early 1970s, during the last years of Francoist dictatorship, Franco's dictatorship, Basque nationalist armed group ETA (separatist group), ETA uses political violence under the leadership of Argi. Yoyes, a young independent woman, joins ETA in Ordizia, a small town in Gipuzkoa. She quickly plays an important role in ETA's organization. María Vicenta Ysbert Soriano (21 April 1917 – 25 April 2011) better known as María Isbert was a Spanish actress whose credits included more than 250 Spanish films during her career. Isbert worked with most major Spanish film actors and directors, including Luis García Berlanga and Luis Buñuel. Isbert, whose credits included films, television and theater work, was most active from the 1960s to the 1980s. Isbert was born in Madrid, Spain, on 21 April 1917. She was the daughter of Pepe Isbert, a popular Spanish film actor whose major roles included ''Welcome Mr. Marshall!''. Maria Isbert was the mother of seven children, including actor Tony Isbert.
