U-BeS
U-BeS (Hangul: 유비스, acronym for ''You will be with us'') was a South Korean boy band formed in 1997. The group consisted of four members: Jang Hogeun, Kim Mukyung, Lee Choongin, Kim Joonwoo. U-BeS is part of the first generation of modern Korean idol groups; groups that debuted the same year include S.E.S, Sechs Kies, N.R.G, Taesaja, and more. The group released two full-length albums: ''U-BeS'' (1997) and ''You Will Be with Us'' (1998). Despite the group being inactive since 1999, U-BeS' disbandment has never been officially announced. Leader Hogeun eventually resumed his music career, and now performs as a trot singer under the moniker Jang Minho. Fly to the Sky ( ko, 플라이 투 더 스카이) is a South Korean R&B duo consisting of Brian Joo and Hwanhee. Initially marketed as K-pop idols, the duo later developed a more mature image and became one of the most popular R&B groups in South Korea. The duo has released nine studio albums since its debut in 1999. Musical career 1999–2001: Debut and the early years The duo was formed in late 1998 by SM Entertainment. Brian Joo auditioned while he was attending Holy Spirit High School in New Jersey. Hwang Yoon-Suk, later to be known as Hwanhee, was encouraged to audition by a staff member working for the label at his high school festival. Click-B
Click-B (클릭비) is a South Korean boy group and band formed in August 1999 under DSP Media. Click-B started out as a band combining rock and dance beats in their music. They became a four member group in 2002, with several member changes over the next few years. In 2015, the group made a seven member comeback with the single album ''Reborn''. History Click-B formed in August 1999 under Daesung Entertainment (now DSP Media). The band split in 2002, with 4 members remaining. In 2003, the 4th album was released with Woo Yun-suk, Oh Jong-hyuk, Kim Sang-hyuk, and Kim Tae-hyung. In 2004, they joined the k-pop duo, J-Walk (consisting of two previous Sechskies members Jang Suwon and Kim Jaeduck) to form a project band, JnC. Cleo (group)
Cleo () was a three-member South Korean girl group, formed in 1999. The name of the group cleo is the acronym of Come Listen EveryOne. They were one of the original Korean idol girl groups and were active at the same time as Fin.K.L and S.E.S. Their debut song "Good Time", from their first studio album, was very successful. The group's second album, released in 2000, was also successful and included the songs "Ready For Love", "Always in My Heart", and "Mosun" (; lit. "Contradiction"). Cleo's third album, which included the song "Triple", was released in 2001. Their fourth album was released in 2003, included the tracks "Donghwa" (; lit. "Fairy Tale") and "S.P.Y". As One () is a South Korean R&B girl group consisting of Korean-American singers Lee Min and Crystal. The group debuted in 1999 with the album ''Day by Day'', and released five more albums before announcing their hiatus from the music industry in 2017 with the single, "Goodbye for Now". Shinhwa () is a South Korean six-member boy band based in Seoul, composed of Eric Mun, Lee Min-woo, Kim Dong-wan, Shin Hye-sung, Jun Jin, and Andy Lee. Launched by SM Entertainment on March 24, 1998, the group signed with Good Entertainment in 2004 before creating theiShinhwa Companyto manage their career as a band. The band struggled initially with their first album before finding commercial success with their sophomore album ''T.O.P.'' (April 1999). Sharp (South Korean Band)
Sharp (stylized as S#arp; ) were a South Korean co-ed pop vocal group that was active from 1998 to 2002. The group initially consisted of Lee Ji-hye, Seo Ji-young, Jang Seok-hyun, John Kim and Oh Hee-jong. John and Hee-jong left the group after the release of the group's first album, ''The S#arp'', in 1998. New members Sori and Chris joined the group in 1999 for the second album, ''The S#arp+2''. Sori later left the group, and Sharp went on to release the albums, ''The Four Letter World Love'' (2000), ''4ever Feel So Good'' (2001), ''Flat Album'' (2001), and ''Style'' (2002).
