This is a list of ''Scooby-Doo'' characters. ''Scooby-Doo'' is an American animated franchise based around several animated television series and animated films, as well as live action movies. There are five main characters in the franchise: Scooby-Doo, Norville "Shaggy" Rogers, Fred Jones, Daphne Blake, and Velma Dinkley—known as "Mystery Incorporated". Fred Silverman
Fred Silverman (September 13, 1937 – January 30, 2020) was an American television executive and producer. He worked as an executive at all of the Big Three television networks, and was responsible for bringing to television such programs as ''Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!'' (the original incarnation of the ''Scooby-Doo'' franchise, 1969–1970), ''All in the Family'' (1971–1979), ''The Waltons'' (1972–1981), and '' Charlie's Angels'' (1976–1981), as well as the miniseries '' Rich Man, Poor Man'' (1976), ''Roots'' (1977), and ''Shōgun'' (1980). For his success in programming such successful shows, ''Time'' magazine declared him "The Man with the Golden Gut" in 1977. ''Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back'' is a 2001 American satirical stoner buddy comedy film written and directed by Kevin Smith, the fifth to be set in his View Askewniverse, a growing collection of characters and settings that developed out of his cult-favorite ''Clerks''.
