Association Football
Association football, more commonly known as football or soccer, is a team sport played between two teams of 11 players who primarily use their feet to propel the ball around a rectangular field called a pitch. The objective of the game is to score more goals than the opposition by moving the ball beyond the goal line into a rectangular framed goal defended by the opposing side. Traditionally, the game has been played over two 45 minute halves, for a total match time of 90 minutes. With an estimated 250 million players active in over 200 countries, it is considered the world's most popular sport. Sergiu Homei
Sergiu Victor Homei (born 6 July 1987) is a Romanian former football player. He played as a right back. Homei was a member of Romania's national under-21 football team. Career Homei started professional football at the age of 17, playing for CF Liberty Salonta in Liga II, winning a place in the first eleven in the second part of the year. Liberty won Liga II that year, but UT Arad bought their place, and so they would play in the third division, Liga III. Homei subsequently transferred to MFC Sopron in the Bordosi Liga, where he played 14 matches in the first half of the season before moving to Dinamo București in Liga I. He played his first match in the top football league of Romania against FC Argeş Piteşti. In order to play more matches, Homei was loaned for one year to Politehnica Iaşi in the pre-season period of 2007. Claudiu Keșerü
Claudiu Andrei Keșerü (; born 2 December 1986) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays mainly as a striker for Liga I club UTA Arad. After starting out at hometown side FC Oradea, he soon moved to Nantes in 2003. Over the course of nearly eleven years in France, Keșerü represented five teams and amassed Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 totals of 240 appearances and 67 goals. In 2014, he returned to his native country by signing a contract with defending champions FCSB. Keșerü also had a brief spell with Al-Gharafa in Qatar, before moving to Ludogorets Razgrad in the summer of 2015, where he netted more than 110 times in the Bulgarian First League. He became the foreign player with the most goals in the latter competition, and is also the only foreigner to become top scorer more than once. Cosmin Moți
Cosmin Iosif Moți (born 3 December 1984) is a Romanian retired professional footballer who played as a central defender and currently the technical director of Ludogorets Razgrad. Moți began his career at Universitatea Craiova before moving to Dinamo București in June 2005. He spent seven seasons with the club and won the 2005 Supercupa României, 2006–07 Liga I title and 2011–12 Cupa României. While at Dinamo, he also spent time on loan at Serie A club Siena. In June 2012, Moți signed with Ludogorets, with whom he won seven consecutive Bulgarian league titles, as well as two Bulgarian Cups, and four Bulgarian Supercups. In May 2015, Ludogorets Arena's South Stand was officially renamed the Moți Stand in recognition of his unique contribution for Ludogorets's first ever participation in the group stage of Champions league. Nicolae Claudiu Stanciu (; born 7 May 1993) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or a winger for Chinese Super League club Wuhan Three Towns and the Romania national team. He began his career with Unirea Alba Iulia and went on to represent Vaslui and Steaua București in his country, winning six domestic honours and making a name for himself with the latter. He moved abroad to Anderlecht in August 2016, becoming the then-most expensive signing made by a Belgian club and later, after bonuses, the then-biggest sale of the Romanian championship. Alexandru Chipciu
Alexandru Mihăiță Chipciu (; born 18 May 1989) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays for Liga I club Universitatea Cluj. A versatile player, he is mainly deployed as a winger or an attacking midfielder, but has also been used as a false 9 or a wing-back on occasion. After starting his senior career with FC Brașov, Chipciu moved to Steaua București in the winter of 2011 and won seven domestic trophies during his spell in the capital. In 2016, he transferred abroad for the first time to join Anderlecht; he helped to a national title in his first season in Belgium, but later fell out of favor and was sent on loan to Sparta Prague. Royal Excel Mouscron (, ), commonly known as Mouscron or familiarly as REM, was a Belgian professional football club based in Mouscron. The team was formed as ''Royal Mouscron-Péruwelz'' in the spring of 2010 as a result of the merging between bankrupt R.E. Mouscron and R.R.C. Peruwelz. Its current name was adopted in the summer of 2016. History Following the liquidation and break-up of R.E. Mouscron, whose registration number was removed by the Royal Belgian Football Association, the city of Mouscron began negotiations with leaders of R.R.C. Peruwelz about a possible merge.
