The ''Rock Band'' Network in the music video games '' Rock Band 2'' and ''Rock Band 3'' supports downloadable songs for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii versions through the consoles' respective online services. The Rock Band Network Store became publicly available on March 4, 2010, for all Xbox 360 players in selected countries (US, Canada, UK, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Sweden, and Singapore). Rock Band Network songs became available on the PlayStation 3 in five song intervals through their own Rock Band Network Store on April 22, 2010. Starting on April 12, 2011, up to 10 songs were added weekly to the PlayStation 3 platform until June 14, 2011, when it reverted to five song intervals. Also, starting on June 14, 2011, PlayStation 3 Rock Band Network songs will only be compatible with Rock Band 3. The ''Rock Band'' Network (abbreviated RBN) was a downloadable content service designed by Harmonix with the help of Microsoft to allow musical artists and record labels to make their music available as playable tracks for the ''Rock Band'' series of rhythm video games, starting with '' Rock Band 2''. It was designed to allow more music to be incorporated into ''Rock Band'' than Harmonix themselves could produce for the games, and it was seen as a way to further expand the games' music catalog into a wide variety of genres. The Network started closed beta testing in July 2009. Fake Shark – Real Zombie!
Fake Shark (formerly known as Fake Shark – Real Zombie!) is a Canadian electronic indie-pop band from Vancouver, British Columbia. Formed in 2005, their early musical style mainly combined elements of dance punk and IDM but have since shifted to a more commercial pop sound. The name is a reference to Lucio Fulci's film ''Zombi 2'', where a real shark and a zombie engage in combat. History Fake Shark was conceived by Kevin "Kevvy Mental" Maher and Louis Wu in October 2005 as a way of combining the styles of the bands they liked in hopes to one day open for them. They met in high school and formed Fake Shark shortly after graduation. To complete the band, they recruited (via Craigslist) bassist Dan Hughes and The Heck's former drummer, Malcolm Holt. "Disengage" is a song by American deathcore band Suicide Silence. The song was released as the second single from their second album, ''No Time to Bleed'' on April 20, 2010. Background Suicide Silence started and announced the production for a music video for "Disengage" on February 19, 2010, this announcement eventually lead to the releasing of the song as a single before the video's premier. The single is released in two formats, as a blue 7" vinyl and as a digital download. The artwork for the single was designed by Joshua Belanger. It includes the album version of "Disengage" and a remix of the song entitled "Disengage (Big Chocolate Remix)" which was handled by Cameron "Big Chocolate" Argon. Despised Icon
Despised Icon is a Canadian deathcore band from Montreal, Quebec. Formed in 2002, the band is noted for the talent of its drummer, Alex Pelletier, who makes frequent use of the blasting technique, as well as for its dual lead vocalists; Alex Erian and Steve Marois. Erian makes use of a mid-range growl technique while Marois performs high-pitched fry shrieks, deeper growled vocals and pig squeals.
