'' RocKwiz'' is an Australian television quiz show series, focused on rock music, and broadcast on SBS One. It premiered in 2005. The final episode aired on 25 June 2016. In February 2019, SBS Channel Manager Ben Nguyen announced that the show is not returning to SBS. In October 2022, it was announced the series will be revived by Foxtel and will air on Fox8 in 2023 with eight 30 minute long episodes. With the possible exceptions of episodes 49, 105, 106 and 107, the following episode numbering is as per SBS OnDemand information. Katy Steele
Katy Elizabeth Steele (born 9 September 1983) is an Australian singer, guitarist and songwriter of the four-piece rock band, Little Birdy. Biography Steele was born Kate Elizabeth Steele and has a fraternal twin brother, Jake. She and her brother are the youngest in the family. Her father, Rick Steele, is an accomplished blues musician who still performs today, together with Katy's oldest brother Jesse on drums, in his band, Rick Steele & The Hot Biscuit Band. Renée Geyer
Renée Rebecca Geyer (born 11 September 1953) is an Australian singer who has long been regarded as one of the finest exponents of jazz, soul and R&B idioms. She had commercial success as a solo artist in Australia, with "It's a Man's Man's World", "Heading in the Right Direction" and " Stares and Whispers" in the 1970s and " Say I Love You" in the 1980s. Rocket Science are an Australian alternative rock band which formed in June 1998. Paul Hester
Paul Newell Hester (8 January 1959 – 26 March 2005) was an Australian musician and television personality. He was the drummer for the band Split Enz for a short time in 1984, and co-founding member and drummer of the rock group Crowded House. Early years Hester was the older of two children (his younger sister is Carolyn) from Melbourne, Australia born to a bushman father and jazz drummer mother. At an early age he was encouraged by his mother to play drums. His extrovert personality did not impress his teachers, and he left school early and attempted various jobs before starting a musical career. He spent most of his teen years living in the Dandenong Ranges, the family home being on the edge of Sherbrooke Forest at the Sherbrooke/Kallista boundary. Donna Simpson (musician)
Donna Simpson (born 1970) is an Australian guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter. She is a member of the Australian folk rock band ''The Waifs''. Donna's young sister Vikki Thorn (née Simpson) also plays harmonica and sings in the band. Simpson has released six albums with ''The Waifs''; she wrote the single ''London Still'', one of The Waifs' most successful singles to date. Robert Forster (musician)
Robert Derwent Garth Forster (born 29 June 1957) is an Australian singer-songwriter, guitarist and music critic. In December 1977 he co-founded an indie rock group, The Go-Betweens, with fellow musician Grant McLennan. In 1980, Lindy Morrison joined the group on drums and backing vocals, and by 1981 Forster and Morrison were also lovers. In 1988, Streets of Your Town, co-written by McLennan and Forster, became the band's highest-charting hit in both Australia and the United Kingdom. The follow-up single, "Was There Anything I Could Do?", was a number-16 hit on the ''Billboard'' Modern Rock Tracks chart in the United States. Lisa Anne Miller is an Australian country pop singer-songwriter and guitarist. Ross Andrew Wilson (born 18 November 1947) is an Australian singer-songwriter, musician and producer. He is the co-founder and frontman of the long-standing rock groups Daddy Cool and Mondo Rock, as well as a number of other former bands, in addition to performing solo.
