Mohan Singh (3 January 1909 – 26 December 1989) was an Indian military officer, Japanese collaborator and member of the Indian Independence Movement best known for organising and leading the Indian National Army in South East Asia during World War II. Following Indian independence, Mohan Singh later served in public life as a Member of Parliament in the ''Rajya Sabha'' (Upper House) of the Indian Parliament. Bansi Lal Legha (26 August 1927 – 28 March 2006) was an Indian independence activist, senior Congress leader, former Chief Minister of Haryana, former Defence Minister of India, and the architect of modern Haryana. Bansi Lal was part of the famous Lal trio of Haryana which also included 'Tau' Devi Lal and Bhajan Lal, that form the major Political families of Haryana. Jagan Nath Kaushal
Jagannath Kaushal (23 April 1915 – 31 May 2001) was an Indian National Congress politician and Law Minister in the Government of India from 1982 to 1985. He studied law at Panjab University, Lahore, in 1936 and started legal practice at Patiala in 1937. Though he was selected as the District and Sessions Judge in 1947, he resigned from the post in 1949 after the State was merged with PEPSU, and returned to legal practice. He was elected to the 1st Rajya Sabha in 1952, and was designated as the Senior Advocate in the Supreme Court in 1954. Following the merger of PEPSU with Punjab in 1956, he shifted to Chandigarh and commenced practice at the Punjab and Haryana High Court. He was also elected president of the Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association in 1962. After his retirement from the Rajya Sabha in 1964, Kaushal was appointed the Advocate-General of Punjab. Zail Singh
Giani Zail Singh (, born Jarnail Singh; 5 May 1916 – 25 December 1994) was an Indian politician from Punjab who served as the seventh president of India from 1982 to 1987. He was the first Sikh and the first person from a backward caste to become president. Born in Sandhwan in the princely state of Faridkot, Singh trained to be a granthi and was given the title of giani, meaning a learned man, while training at the Sikh Missionary School in Amritsar. Singh was associated with peasant agitations and the movement seeking a representative government in Faridkot. His political activism in the Praja Mandal, an organization allied with the Indian National Congress, saw him sentenced to solitary confinement between 1938 and 1943. Jathedar Udham Singh Nagoke was a freedom fighter, Jathedar of Akal Takht and member of Rajya Sabha.
