Greg Lalas
Greg Lalas is a retired American soccer defender and the chief marketing officer at United Soccer League. Biography Perhaps best known as the brother of Alexi Lalas, he was previously site director of Goal.com, co-host of the twice-weekly internet show ExtraTime Radio on MLSsoccer.com, and the weekly podcast Waiting for Gaetjens. He played two seasons in Major League Soccer and one in the USISL. Lalas was also a columnist for Sports Illustrated Online from 2006 to 2010 and a former color commentator for the New England Revolution. Lalas attended Brown University, where he played on the men's soccer team from 1991 to 1994. He decided to attend Brown after a conversation he had with his childhood hero, Chris Berman, who graduated from Brown in 1977. He was All-Ivy League in 1991, 1992 and 1993. 2009 Major League Soccer Season
The 2009 Major League Soccer season was the 14th season of Major League Soccer. The season began on March 19 and ended with MLS Cup 2009 on November 22 at Qwest Field in Seattle. Expansion team Seattle Sounders FC debuted as the league's 15th franchise and were the second in MLS history to qualify for the MLS Cup Playoffs. Real Salt Lake won their first MLS Cup by defeating the Los Angeles Galaxy in a penalty shootout. 2010 Major League Soccer Season
The 2010 Major League Soccer season was the 98th season of FIFA-sanctioned soccer, the 32nd with a national first-division league, in the United States and Canada, and the 15th in Major League Soccer, MLS history. It began on March 25 at Seattle's Qwest Field with Seattle Sounders FC defeating the expansion Philadelphia Union, 2–0. The 2010 MLS All-Star Game was played at Reliant Stadium, hosted by the Houston Dynamo on July 28 as the MLS XI fell 5–2 to visiting Manchester United F.C., Manchester United. The regular season concluded on October 24, with Los Angeles Galaxy winning the MLS Supporters' Shield, Supporters' Shield by one point over Real Salt Lake. Jay Heaps
John Franklin "Jay" Heaps (born August 2, 1976) is an American former soccer player who currently serves as president and general manager of Birmingham Legion FC. He is a former head coach for the New England Revolution in Major League Soccer. After a successful college career at Duke University, Heaps spent his entire professional playing career in Major League Soccer, initially with Miami Fusion, and then with New England Revolution, for whom he made over 250 appearances in all competitions. Towards the end of his career Heaps also played with the United States men's national soccer team, earning four caps at the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup. He was coach of the New England Revolution from 2011 to 2017. He was also part of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup winning 2007 roster and was part of the 2008 North American SuperLiga winning roster. Damon Lawrence Amendolara (born June 21, 1979) is the morning host (6a-10a ET) on the CBS Sports Radio Network, heard across North America. He was promoted to that time slot in March 2017. He previously worked as the evening host for WBZ-FM in Boston. He also acted as the sideline reporter for Major League Soccer telecast of the New England Revolution. Jeff Causey
Jeff Causey (born October 19, 1971 in Manassas, Virginia) is a retired American soccer goalkeeper who spent six seasons in Major League Soccer. He later served as an assistant coach at the collegiate and professional levels. College soccer Causey attended the University of Virginia where he played on the men’s soccer team from 1990 to 1993. He was a member of the Cavaliers teams which won the 1991, 1992, and 1993 NCAA Championships, taking Tournament Defensive MVP in 1991. He was a 1993 third team All American, graduating that year with a bachelor's degree in history.
