Naft Tehran
Naft Tehran Football Club ( fa, باشگاه فوتبال نفت تهران, ''Bashgah-e Futbal-e Nuft Teheran'') is an Iranian football club based in Tehran, Iran. They competed in the Persian Gulf Pro League. They were owned by the National Iranian Oil Company previously. Naft Tehran was founded in 1950 and played in the Takhti Stadium until 2018. Naft has finished third place in the Persian Gulf Pro League three times and has also won the Hazfi Cup. In 2015, for the first time in the club's history, Naft played in the AFC Champions League. They defeated Al-Ahli of Saudi Arabia in the round of 16 to advance to the quarter–finals where they were eliminated by Al-Ahli Dubai. Following the departures of their best players, Naft Tehran were relegated to the second tier in 2017. Hossein Faraki ( fa, حسین فرکی, born 22 March 1957) is a retired Iranian football player and a coach. Personal life He was born on 22 March 1957 in Tehran, Iran. He began playing football with PAS Tehran in 1976. Faraki has a son named Hessam. Iran Pro League
The Persian Gulf Pro League ( fa, لیگ برتر خلیج فارس, ''Lig-e Bartar-e Xalij-e Fârs''), formerly known as the Iran Pro League ( fa, links=no, لیگ برتر ایران, ''Lig-e bartar-e Irân''), is the highest division of professional football in Iran. It is the top-level football league in Iran since its foundation. Each year, its top team becomes the Iranian football champion, and the two lowest finishers are relegated to Azadegan League. Since 2013, the league comprises 16 teams. The winner and runner-up of the Persian Gulf Pro League along with the Hazfi Cup champion are automatically qualified for the AFC Champions League group stages. Azadegan League
The Azadegan League ( fa, ليگ آزادگان, ''Lig-e Âzâdegân''), also known as League 1 ( fa, لیگ یک, ''Lig-e Yek''), is the second highest division of professional football in Iran. It was the top-level football league in Iran from its foundation in 1991 until 2001, when the Persian Gulf Pro League was established. Each year, the top finishing teams in the Azadegan League are promoted to the Persian Gulf Pro League, and the lowest finishing teams are relegated to League 2. Since 2016, the league comprises 18 teams. The winner and the runner-up of the Azadegan League are automatically promoted to the Persian Gulf Pro League. Iran Football's 2nd Division
Iranian football's 2nd division ( fa, ليگ دسته دوم ایران) is the third-highest football division overall in the Iranian football league system. Before 2001, the 2nd division league was the second-highest division in Iranian football league system, however, this was changed to third-highest division when Iran's football structure officially became professional. The league consists of two, fourteen team groups who play each other twice in a home and away format. The first and second placed teams in each group are automatically promoted to the Azadegan League. The bottom two teams in both groups are automatically relegated to the 3rd division. If teams in the promotion or relegation spots are tied in terms of points, a home and away series will be played. The team with the best aggregate score will either avoid relegation or win promotion. Ali Reza Mansourian
Alireza Mansourian ( fa, علیرضا منصوريان; born 2 December 1971) is an Iranian football coach and retired player. Club career Mansourian was born in Tehran. During his career, he played for Singapore S.League clubs: Balestier Khalsa FC and Geylang United along with the Iranian club Esteghlal F.C. He moved to Greek club Skoda Xanthi in 1998 after Xanthi fans contributed to raise the amount of money needed to complete the transfer. He played for Skoda Xanthi for one and a half seasons, taking part in 23 games. In December 1999, Mansourian went to Greek club Apollon Smyrnis for six months where he played seven games and scored once. After Apollon's relegation, he continued his career in Germany with FC St. Pauli where he remained for two seasons. Finally he returned to Iran and Esteghlal where he was appointed as the team's captain. Yahya Golmohammadi
Yahya Golmohammadi ( fa, يحيى گل محمدى, born 19 March 1971) also knowend as YaYa is an Iranian former footballer and coach who is currently managing the Persian Gulf Pro League club Persepolis. He is one of only eight Iranians to score in a World Cup and he is the oldest player to score on his first World Cup start, who did so for Iran in 2006 against Mexico. His position was usually the central defender. He was a member of Iranian national football team and played most of his career in Persepolis. He previously managed some big clubs in Iran like Naft Tehran, Zob Ahan, Tractor Sazi and Padideh. Reza Norouzi
Reza Norouzi ( fa, رضا نوروزی, born 21 September 1982) is a retired Iranian footballer. Club career Early years Norouzi started his career with Bargh Shiraz in Iran Pro League. Steel Azin Norouzi joined Steel Azin in 2008 after spending the previous year at Bargh Shiraz. Foolad He was transferred to Foolad on 2010 and became top goal scorer of 2010–11 season. Naft Tehran In October 2012, Norouzi signed with Naft Tehran effective from January 2013. He scored his first goal for Naft in his debut match against Malavan. Mansour Ebrahimzadeh ( fa, منصور ابراهیمزاده; born 29 May 1956 in Isfahan) is an Iranian retired football player and former manager of Sepahan. Early life He was born on 29 May 1956 in Isfahan, Iran. He graduated from Isfahan University. Playing career Youth career He began playing football in 1973 in Sepahan. Then he played for Isfahan XI between 1974 and 1975. Bank Melli He joined the Bank Melli in 1975 and left that club in 1977 after two years. Sepahan He returned to Sepahan in 1977 and played for the club until 1979. Yaghoub Karimi ( fa, یعقوب کریمی; August 31, 1991) is an Iranian football midfielder. Club career Pas He joined Pas in the summer 2003 from the youth academy. He played five seasons for Pas youth team. Esteghlal In summer 2009, Karimi joined Esteghlal. He played his first match for Esteghlal in 2010–11 season.
