Montreal ( ; officially Montréal, ) is the List of the largest municipalities in Canada by population, second-most populous city in Canada and List of towns in Quebec, most populous city in the Provinces and territories of Canada, Canadian province of Quebec. Richard Bladworth Angus
Richard Bladworth Angus (28 May 1831 – 17 September 1922) was a Scottish-Canadian banker, financier, and philanthropist. He was a co-founder and vice-president of the Canadian Pacific Railway, president of the Bank of Montreal, president of the Royal Victoria Hospital, Montreal, president of the Montreal Art Association, and co-founder and president of the Mount Royal Club. He was the natural successor to Lord Mount Stephen as president of the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1888, but he did not desire the position; he twice refused a knighthood. The CPR Angus Shops were named for him, as was one of the later CP Ships. Early life In 1831, Angus was born in Scotland at Bathgate. He was a younger son of Alexander Angus (b. 1792), a merchant grocer from Rafford, Morayshire, and his wife Margaret Forrest (b. 1802), of Bathgate. The Smashing Pumpkins (also referred to as simply Smashing Pumpkins) are an American alternative rock band from Chicago. Hole was an American alternative rock band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1989 in music, 1989. It was founded by singer Courtney Love and guitarist Eric Erlandson. It had several different bassists and drummers, the most prolific being drummer Patty Schemel, and bassists Kristen Pfaff (d. 1994) and Melissa Auf der Maur. Jay Aspin (born August 19, 1949) is a Canadian politician who served as the Member of Parliament for the riding of Nipissing—Timiskaming from 2011 to 2015. Aspin was elected to the House of Commons of Canada for the Conservative Party of Canada in the 2011 election. He finished just 14 votes ahead of Liberal incumbent Anthony Rota in the initial count, triggering an automatic judicial recount which ultimately confirmed his victory by a margin of just 18 votes. Prior to his election, Aspin had served as a city councillor for North Bay City Council, as well as a trustee for the Near North District School Board and its predecessor, the Nipissing Board of Education. He also worked as a business consultant and for the Ontario Northland Transportation Commission. François Landriault-Barbeau (born July 5, 1985), known professionally as François Arnaud, is a Canadian film and television actor. He is best known for his roles as Cesare Borgia on Showtime's period drama series '' The Borgias'', Manfred Bernardo on NBC's ''Midnight, Texas'', and Tommy Castelli on Lifetime's ''UnReal''. Gilles Archambault (born September 19, 1933 in Montreal, Quebec) is a francophone novelist from Quebec, Canada. He studied at the Université de Montréal in 1957, and then worked at Radio-Canada, while working as a journalist. From 1988 to 1997, he broadcast a column on the "CBF Bonjour" program. His work appeared in ''La Presse'', ''Le Devoir'', ''L'Actualité'', and ''Le Livre d'ici''.
