Khatan-Bator
Khatan-Bator is a two-part Mongolian language biopic film based on the life of Khatanbaatar Magsarjav. Khatanbaatar was a Mongolian General who overthrew the Manchurian Forces in Mongolia led by the Amban Chinese occupation of Urga. The film was directed by Jigjidsuren Gombojav and produced by Mongol Kino. It was submitted to the 12th Moscow International Film Festival. Synopsis Story is based in the life of Khatanbaatar Magsarjav, a Mongolian general and a leading figure in Mongolia's struggle for independence. His contingent of 800 elite Mongol soldiers fought White Russian and Chinese forces over 30 times between 1912 and 1921, without a single defeat. He served as acting prime minister from February 15, 1921, to March 13, 1921, under Roman Ungern von Sternberg's puppet regime and later fought the baron forces. Takashi Sorimachi
is a Japanese actor and singer. He is mostly famous for having portrayed Eikichi Onizuka in the 1998 live-action drama adaptation of the popular manga series ''Great Teacher Onizuka'', and the assassin O in Hong Kong action film ''Fulltime Killer''. While he mainly works as an actor, he has released serval singles and albums over the years. On February 21, 2001, he married actress Nanako Matsushima who he co-starred with in ''Great Teacher Onizuka''. On May 31, 2004, his wife gave birth to a baby girl. The couple had a second daughter on November 30, 2007. In 2005 he starred in the movie ''Otoko-tachi no Yamato''. Shinichiro Sawai
was a Japanese film director and screenwriter. Career Born in Hamamatsu, Sawai studied German at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. Graduating in 1961, he joined the Toei Company as an assistant director and worked under such directors as Masahiro Makino and Noribumi Suzuki. He also collaborated on scripts such as those for the ' Truck Yarō' series. He made his debut as a director in 1981 with ''Nogiku no haka'', a vehicle for the idol singer Seiko Matsuda. He won the Directors Guild of Japan New Directors Award in 1985, and the Japan Academy Prize for Director of the Year in 1986.
