Yokneam Illit ( he, יָקְנְעָם עילית), also ''Yoqne'am Illit'' and ''Jokneam Illit'', is a city in northern Israel. It is located in a hilly region of the lower Galilee at the base of the Carmel Mountains, and overlooks the Jezreel Valley. It is from Haifa and from Tel Aviv. Yokneam is known as Israel's " Startup Village," because its high-tech hub is surrounded by forest and small communities. Yokneam Illit was founded in 1950 and became a local authority in 1967, and a city in 2007. The city is located alongside the country's major highways – Highway 70 and Highway 6. Yarka, officially Yirka ( he, יִרְכָּא, ar, يركا), is an Israeli Druze village and local council in the Northern District of Israel. In 2019 it had a population of 17,171, 98.8% of them members of the Druze community, with a small Muslim (1.0%) and Christian (0.1%) minorities. History Ancient era Yarka is an ancient village site, where old columns and cisterns have been found. A Greek inscription here dating from the early Christian era was found by Clermont-Ganneau in 1881. Crusader period During the Crusader era, Yarka was known under the name of ''Arket''. Hof HaCarmel Regional Council ( he, מועצה אזורית חוף הכרמל, ''Mo'atza Azorit Hof ha-Karmel'', ''lit.'' Carmel Coast Regional Council) is a regional council located in the northern Israeli coastal plain. Meir Shfeya ( he, מֵאִיר שְׁפֵיָה) is a youth village and agricultural boarding school in northern Israel. Located near Zikhron Ya'akov, it falls under the jurisdiction of Hof HaCarmel Regional Council. In it had a population of . History The site of Meir Shfeya was originally a Muslim village named Shefeia, meaning "the edge or margin". In 1859, the population was given as 100, who cultivated 11 feddans of land. In 1882, the PEF's ''Survey of Western Palestine'' (SWP) described as "a small village with a well to the north." A population list from about 1887 showed that Shefeia had about 130 inhabitants, all Muslims. Modern Meir Shfeya was established in 1891 as a moshava adjacent to Zikhron Ya'akov. The name is a combination of Meir, named for Amschel Mayer (Meir) Rothschild, the grandfather of Baron Rothschild, and a distortion of Shefeia. Golan Regional Council ( he, מועצה אזורית גולן, ar, مجلس الجولان الإقليمي) is a regional council that supervises regional services to Israeli settlements located on the Golan Heights. It is made up of 18 moshavim, 10 kibbutzim, and 4 community settlements. The council headquarters is in the town of Katzrin. The current Head of Council is Haim Rokach. Nofey Golan High School
Nofey Golan High school (Hebrew: נופי גולן), was founded in 1985 in the Israeli town of Katzrin in the Golan Heights. The school is the only high school in Katzrin, and the main high school in the whole Golan Heights region. Even though it is the main school in the Golan Heights it only has about 600 students. Nofey Golan's principal is Ofra Stein. Programs to encourage excellence Nofey Golan gives the students a chance to participate in many programs, one of them is called "Atidim", and it helps exceptional students in the scientific field achieve a good Bagrut certificate and prepare them for the Atuda.
