The Minister of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy ( nl, Minister van Economische Zaken en Klimaat) is the head of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy and a member of the Cabinet and the Council of Ministers. The current Minister is Micky Adriaansens of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD) who has been in office since 10 January 2022. Regularly a State Secretary is assigned to the Ministry who is tasked with specific portfolios. The current State Secretary is Hans Vijlbrief of the Democrats 66 (D66) party who also has been in office since 10 January 2022 and has been assigned the portfolios of Mining and Extractivism. In the current cabinet there is also a Minister without Portfolio assigned to the Ministry who is also giving specific portfolios. Micky Adriaansens
Monique Anne Maria "Micky" Adriaansens (born 1 March 1964) is a Dutch politician, lawyer and administrator who has served as Minister of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy in the Fourth Rutte cabinet since 10 January 2022. A member of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD), she was previously a member of the Senate (2019–2022). Career A native of Schiedam, Adriaansens attended the Municipal Gymnasium in Hilversum. She studied Law, Health Policy and Management at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. During her studies, she was active in the Hermes House Band. She then worked for the law firm AKD in bankruptcy law. Between 1999 and 2003 Adriaansens worked as a consultant at Twynstra Gudde, before she became active as a health care administrator. Johannes van den Bergh (born 21 November 1986) is a German professional footballer who plays as a left back for club Holstein Kiel.
