Cristela Alonzo
Cristela Alonzo (born ) is an American comedian, actress, writer and producer, who created and starred in the ABC sitcom ''Cristela.'' This made her the first Latina woman to create, produce, write, and star in her own US primetime comedy. Early life Alonzo was raised in San Juan, Texas, the youngest of four children of mother Natalia Gonzalez, who worked double shifts at a Mexican restaurant for about 20 years, and father Adalberto Alonzo, both of whom were from Mexico. When Alonzo's mother was pregnant with Alonzo, Alonzo's mother left her abusive husband and raised the children alone. Alonzo has explained that she never met her father, who died in 2009. She has three siblings, older sister Julisa Maria Alonzo and older brothers Eloy Eduardo Alonzo and Ruben G. Alonzo. Carlos Espejel
Carlos Espejel Leguizano (born April 21, 1972) is a Mexican telenovela actor and comedian, best known for his roles as "Chiquidrácula" (1982–1987) and "Carlinflas" (1982–2006). Biography Espejel started his acting career at an early age. In 1981 he appeared in the show '' Alegrías de Mediodía'', where he first met one of his ''Humor es...los Comediantes'' co-hosts, Aida Pierce. In 1982, he appeared in the children's show ''Chiquilladas'' playing the role of Chiquidrácula, a vampire child who always manages to get in trouble. María Elena Saldaña
María Elena Saldaña, also known as La Güereja, is a Mexican television actress whose career dates back to the mid-1980s. Saldaña, who is a little person, has achieved fame over the years with her portrayal of a little Mexican girl named Mariquita Castro Pérez. Early life and career A native of Veracruz, where she was most likely born on July 23, 1962, Saldaña (pronounced Sal-dan-ya) started acting while in school. During one class, in which the kids sang or recited poetry, Saldaña knew a story about a little girl much like herself, and with a classmate, performed a sketch in which Saldaña portrayed that little girl, the forerunner to her eventual "La Gúereja" character. She then performed her act on a television station in Veracruz, and this led, in 1984, to Mexico City and a contract with Televisa. Paul Rodriguez, Sr. (born January 19, 1955) is a Mexican-American actor and stand-up comedian. Early life Paul Rodriguez was born in Culiacan, Sinaloa, to Mexican agriculture ranchers. His family migrated to Compton, California, where Rodriguez enlisted in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Iceland and in Duluth, Minnesota. Rodriguez was first assigned to Lackland AFB after completing training at Shepard AFB, both in Texas. Guillermo Rivas Rowlatt (December 25, 1926 – March 19, 2004) was a Mexican character actor known for portraying "El Borras" in the Telesistema Mexicano sitcom ''Los Beverly de Peralvillo'' (1968–1973). Early life Rivas was born in Mexico City, Mexico, his father was Antonio Ribas Murphy (1901–1945) a Catalan, his mother was Maria Luisa Rowlatt Romana (1910–1983) British descendant. Career His first role in a film was in 1938, aged only eleven years old, ''The Cemetery of the Eagles'' starring Jorge Negrete. Aida María Zerecero Pierce (born August 15, 1956, Acapulco, Guerrero) is a Mexican actress and comedian, best known internationally for her work on various telenovelas and comedy series that have aired on Televisa over the years. Most of her television series have aired on television networks in other countries, most notably Univision.
