Iskra Dimitrova
Iskra Dimitrova (born 1965) is a multimedia artist in the Republic of Macedonia. She was born in Skopje and received a BA in Philosophy and a BFA in sculpture from Ss. Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje. She has presented her work at solo exhibitions and installations in Skopje, Vrsac in Yugoslavia, Zagreb in Croatia, Rochdale in England, Tokyo, Yokohama and Madison, South Dakota. Her work has been included in the Venice Biennial (1999) and at international exhibitions in Maribor, Selestat, Thessalonica, Larisa and Providence, Rhode Island Providence is the capital and most populous city of the U.S. state of Rhode Island. Elpida Hadzi-Vasileva
Elpida Hadzi-Vasileva (born 1971, Kavadarci, North Macedonia) is a Macedonian-born artist based in Brighton, UK. She has exhibited extensively and realised numerous commissions nationally and internationally, in gallery spaces, museums and within the public realm. Hadzi-Vasileva was selected by the Ministry of Culture to represent Macedonia at the 55th Venice Biennale in 2013, with Ana Frangovska, curator at the National Gallery of Macedonia. Hadzi-Vasileva attended the Royal College of Art, London and the Glasgow School of Art, Glasgow, Scotland. Work Hadzi-Vasileva is a site specific installation artist who works across the varied media of sculpture, installation, video and sound, photography, and architectural interventions. Maja Hill
Maja Hill (born Maja Dzartovska on 26 January 1976) is a Macedonian artist. Hill was born in Skopje, Yugoslavia (now North Macedonia) in 1976, she currently works and lives in the UK. While her oeuvre largely consists of oil paintings, notably portraits and cityscapes she is known for working across a range of artistic disciplines. She has exhibited extensively in the Balkans and internationally including London, New York and Paris. Hill in her paintings presents the city, people and everything that happens on the streets and pavements. Hill (then Maja Dzartovska) graduated at the Fine Arts Academy in the class of Professor Simon Semov. Ss. Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje, Skopje 1999. In 2000 Hill won the portrait award at the National Society of Macedonian Artists (DLUM) annual exhibition. Keraca Visulčeva
Keraca Visulčeva (also transliterated as ''Keratza''; in Cyrillic: Кераца Висулчева), (7 April 1911–13 January 2004) was a Macedonian and Bulgarian artist who was born in Nestram, in the Manastir Vilayet of the Ottoman Empire. Her family moved to Pomorie, Bulgaria, during the Balkan wars, as many Macedonian immigrants did during the same period. Education and career After studying under Stefan Ivanov (drawing) and Nikola Ganushev and Boris Mitov (painting), she graduated at the Sofia Fine Arts Academy. In 1935 during her first exhibit, and the great Bulgarian artist Ivan Mrkvicka noticed her talent, and she became a member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists. Between 1941 and 1944, during the Bulgarian occupation of Macedonia, she taught at the Queen Giovanna Girls' High School in Skopje.
