MNRK Music Group
MNRK Music Group (pronounced "monarch", formerly known as Koch Records and eOne Music) is a New York City-based independent record label and music management company. It was formed in 2009 from the music assets of Koch Entertainment, which had been acquired by the present-day Entertainment One (eOne) in 2005. In April 2021, after the acquisition of eOne by Hasbro, the company announced that it would sell eOne Music to The Blackstone Group. It owns the libraries of Artemis Records, Dualtone Records, and Last Gang Records. History eOne as a whole has its origins in the music distributor Records on Wheels, which was acquired by the Canadian retail chain CD Plus in 2001 to expand its wholesale business. Darren Throop joined the company after CD Plus acquired his record store chain Urban Sound Exchange. The combined company later became known as ROW Entertainment, with Throop as president and CEO. Baby D (rapper)
Donald B. Jenkins (born November 5, 1977), better known as Dizzle and Baby D, is an underground rapper from Atlanta. His first album, '' Off Da Chain'', was released in 2000 on Big Oomp Records. Two years later his follow up, '' Lil' Chopper Toy'' was released. A major label bidding war ensued, garnering the young MC a multimillion-dollar deal with Epic Records. He was signed with Koch Records, and released his first mainstream album, ''A-Town Secret Weapon'', on April 29, 2008. Three years later, in 2011, Baby D signed with Mizay Entertainment. In March 2012, Baby D changed his stage name to Dizzle. On November 1, 2012, he released his third independent album entitled ''About My Grind''. Bryant Myers
Bryan Robert Rohena Pérez (born April 5, 1998), known professionally as Bryant Myers, is a Puerto Rican Latin trap and reggaeton rapper and songwriter. Rohena was born in Loma Alta, Puerto Rico. He began sampling and making his own songs in 2013 and launched them on social media via his SoundCloud, Instagram and YouTube accounts. He is best known for his single "Esclava", which gained him popularity in his hometown. Bodysnatcher
"Bodysnatcher" was a partly finished script that was written but unused for the first series of the BBC sci-fi sitcom ''Red Dwarf''. It was said to involve the now intangible Rimmer attempting to construct a body of his own using components of Lister's—such as hair. History "Bodysnatcher" was one of the scripts to be handed around during the interview process for the main casting, although at this point it was unnamed. This script allegedly caught the attention of Peter Ridsdale-Scott, the commissioner for BBC Manchester that he read on the train bound for BBC London. Alfred Molina and Alan Rickman, who were auditioning for Lister and Rimmer, performed their audition from this script. Johnathan Jamall Porter (born January 20, 1997), known professionally as Blueface, is an American rapper. Black Map (stylized as BL∀CK MAP) is an American post-hardcore supergroup based out of San Francisco, California. The trio consists of Ben Flanagan on bass and vocals, Chris Robyn on drums and Mark Engles on guitar. The band most recently has toured with Chevelle, Bush, and Circa Survive. Black Map formed following a hiatus from the members' respective bands: Dredg (guitarist Mark Engles), Far (drummer Chris Robyn), and The Trophy Fire (vocalist/guitarist Ben Flanagan). Black Label Society is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1998 by guitarist/singer Zakk Wylde. To date, the band has released eleven studio albums, two live albums, two compilation albums, one EP, and three video albums. History ''Sonic Brew'' and Formation (1998–1999) In the early 1990s, Wylde had formed his own solo band Pride & Glory, playing a mixture of bluesy Southern rock with heavy metal. Rufus Arthur Johnson (born July 5, 1976), better known by his stage name Bizarre, is an American rapper, best known for his work with the Detroit-based hip hop group D12. Early life Bizarre was born Rufus Arthur Johnson on July 5, 1976 in Detroit, Michigan. Bizarre grew up living with his single mother. He started rapping when he was in fifth grade. Big Pokey
Milton Powell (born November 29, 1977), better known by his stage name Big Pokey, is an American rapper from Houston, Texas. Pokey is associated with chopped and screwed music, and is one of the original members of the Screwed Up Click. Rap career Big Pokey began rapping with Houston producer DJ Screw in the early 1990s releasing songs on many of DJ Screw's mixtapes. Big Pokey was featured on DJ Screw's mixtape "June 27th Freestyle" which became a landmark album in chopped and screwed hip hop. TaJuan Akeem Perry (born May 7, 1975), better known by his stage name Big Noyd, is an American rapper from Queensbridge, Queens, New York. He is closely affiliated with Mobb Deep and is featured on all of their albums except ''Blood Money''. Career Big Noyd's debut was his verse on "Stomp 'Em Out" from Mobb Deep's 1993 debut ''Juvenile Hell'', but it was not until 1995, on Mobb Deep's album ''The Infamous'', that Big Noyd attracted wider attention. He appeared on "Right Back At You" & " Give Up the Goods (Just Step)".
