List Of Leinster Lightning Grounds
Leinster Lightning was established in 2013, and accorded first-class status in 2017. Since then, they have played first-class, List A and Twenty20 cricket at a number of different home grounds. Their first home first-class match was against North West Warriors in 2017 at Oak Hill Cricket Club Ground in County Wicklow. From 2019, Leinster will play their home matches at College Park, Dublin. As of 4 September 2018, Leinster Lightning have played four first-class matches, four List A matches, and seven Twenty20 matches at seven different home grounds. Anglesea Road Cricket Ground is a cricket ground based on Anglesea Road in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4, Ireland. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1971, when South Leinster played Ulster Country. The ground has hosted a single List-A match which saw Papua New Guinea play the United States. Test Cricket
Test cricket is a form of first-class cricket played at international level between teams representing full member countries of the International Cricket Council (ICC). A match consists of four innings (two per team) and is scheduled to last for up to five days. In the past, some Test matches had no time limit and were called Timeless Tests. The term "test match" was originally coined in 1861–62 but in a different context. Test cricket did not become an officially recognised format until the 1890s, but many international matches since 1877 have been retrospectively awarded Test status. Malahide ( ; ) is an affluent coastal settlement in Fingal, County Dublin, Ireland, situated north of Dublin city. It has a village centre surrounded by suburban housing estates, with a population of over 17,000. Malahide Cricket Club Ground
Malahide Cricket Club Ground or The Village is a cricket ground in Malahide, Ireland situated in the Lady Acre field of Malahide Castle grounds. The ground is owned by the Malahide Cricket Club. The ground has been developed to a capacity of 11,500 making it Ireland's biggest cricket venue and officially opened for international cricket in 2013. In November 2017, it was confirmed as the venue for Ireland's first Test match, when they played Pakistan in May 2018. History Malahide Cricket Club was founded in 1861. Munster Reds
Munster Reds is an Irish inter-provincial cricket team based in Cork, in the province of Munster. In April 2017, Cricket Ireland approved the participation of the team in the Interprovincial Twenty20 Cup, the highest level of T20 domestic cricket in Ireland. They joined Leinster Lightning, North West Warriors and Northern Knights in the 2017 tournament. They played their first match in the Inter-Provincial Trophy on 26 May 2017, and won their first match, against North West Warriors, on 6 July 2018. Following the successful end to their 2018 season, there was talk of Munster Reds being included in the Interprovincial One-Day Trophy competition, but while this is an objective of Cricket Ireland, it was confirmed this would not happen in 2019. Sydney Parade is a cricket ground in Dublin, Ireland. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1897, when Pembroke played Leicester Ivanhoe. Observatory Lane
Observatory Lane is a cricket ground in Rathmines, Dublin, Ireland. History Leinster Cricket Club was founded in 1852, originally playing matches at nearby Grosvenor Square, before moving to Observatory Lane in 1865. The Ireland rugby union team played their first home match at Observatory Lane in 1875 against England, after Lansdowne Road was deemed unsuitable. First-class cricket was first played at Observatory Lane in 1912 when Ireland played Scotland. The ground hosted six first-class matches before World War II, including a match between Ireland and the touring New Zealanders in 1937, in which no team passed 100 in any of the four innings. Castle Avenue cricket ground, also known as Clontarf Cricket Club ground, is a cricket facility in the suburb of Clontarf, Dublin, Ireland. It is the primary of the two grounds of Clontarf Cricket Club, the secondary being at Mount Temple Comprehensive School, and the lands on which it lies are also home to two rugby union pitches belonging to Clontarf FC. United States National Cricket Team
The United States national cricket team is the team that represents the United States in international cricket. The team was formerly organised by the United States of America Cricket Association (USACA), which became an associate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 1965. In June 2017, the USACA was expelled by the ICC due to governance and financing issues, with the U.S. team being temporarily overseen by ICC Americas until a new sanctioning body was established.
