The following is the current leaderboard for career home runs in KBO League Korean baseball. Lee Man-soo was the KBO's first Home Run King, retiring in 1997 with 252 career home runs. His total was surpassed by Chang Jong-hoon on May 23, 1999, and Chang retained the title for ten years. In 2009, Yang Joon-hyuk hit his 341st home run, passing Chang to become Home Run King. In 2012, Lee Seung-yeop hit his 352nd home run to claim the Home Run King title, which he extended to 467 before he retired. The KBO League (), officially the Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League, is the highest level league of baseball in South Korea. The KBO League was founded with six franchises in 1982 and is the most popular sports league in South Korea. The Kia Tigers are the most successful team, having won 11 of the 40 championships. Kim Tae-kyun (Hangul: 김태균, Hanja: 金泰均; born May 29, 1982) is a South Korean first baseman who plays for the Hanwha Eagles in the KBO League. He bats and throws right-handed. He is one of the top career hitters in the KBO, with a lifetime batting average over .320, and more than 300 career home runs and 1300 runs batted in. Na Jiwan (, born May 19, 1985) is a South Korean former professional baseball outfielder. From 2008 to 2022, he played for the Kia Tigers of the KBO League. He batted and threw right-handed. Jang Sung-ho (Hangul: 장성호, Hanja: 張成鎬; born October 18, 1977 in Seoul, South Korea) is a South Korean first baseman/outfielder who former plays for the Lotte Giants of the KBO League. Kim Jae-hwan (Hangul: 김재환; born September 22, 1988) is a South Korean outfielder and designated hitter for the Doosan Bears of the KBO League. He bats left-handed and throws right-handed. Professional career After graduation from Incheon High School, he was selected by the Doosan Bears as a catcher in the second round of the KBO Draft. Yang Eui-ji
Yang Eui-ji (; born June 5, 1987) is a South Korean professional baseball catcher currently playing for the Doosan Bears of the KBO League. He has won the KBO League Golden Glove Award at catcher five times; three consecutive years from 2014 to 2016, and again back-to-back in 2018 and 2019. Na Sung-bum (, born October 3, 1989) is a South Korean outfielder for the Kia Tigers of the KBO League. He bats and throws left-handed. Na was selected tenth overall by the NC Dinos in the 2012 KBO Draft. Amateur career While attending Yonsei University, Na was considered the best hitting pitcher in the South Korean collegiate baseball league. Hyun-soo Kim (; ; born January 12, 1988) is a South Korean professional baseball outfielder for the LG Twins of the KBO League. He previously played for the Doosan Bears, and has also played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Baltimore Orioles and Philadelphia Phillies.
