List Of K-pop Hot 100 Number Ones
The K-pop Hot 100 is a music singles chart launched in South Korea by ''Billboard'' in conjunction with ''Billboard'' Korea on August 25, 2011. The chart was based on digital sales via leading websites, as well as downloads from mobile service sites using an industry-standard formula and the most credible music data sources within South Korea. The chart was first discontinued in 2014, as of the July 16 issue, and reestablished three years later in December 2017—the first new issue published was for the period dated May 29–June 4, 2017. It was discontinued again in April 2022. The final song to reach number-one on the K-pop Hot 100 was "Love Dive" by Ive, on the issue dated April 30. The K-pop Hot 100 is a music singles chart in South Korea, launched by ''Billboard'' in conjunction with ''Billboard'' Korea () on August 25, 2011. It is the second Asian ''Billboard'' chart after the Japan Hot 100. The chart used the same multimetric methodology as the US Hot 100 and rankings were compiled based on Hanteo Chart data, streaming and download data from Naver VIBE, and domestic radio and television music playback data. Updates were published on ''Billboard'' Korea's website every Tuesday, and appeared on billboard.com the following day. Silvio Pietroluongo, ''Billboard''s Director of Charts, called the launch "a milestone event", as it would "provide the Korean music market with what we believe is Korea's most accurate and relevant song ranking." The Boys (Girls' Generation Song)
"The Boys" is a song recorded by South Korean girl group Girls' Generation for their third Korean language studio album with the same name. Composed and arranged by Teddy Riley, Taesung Kim, DOM, and Richard Garcia, the song was described as a dance-pop, electropop and R&B song with elements of hip hop that lyrically discusses female attractiveness. The Korean version was released on October 18, 2011, by S.M. Entertainment as the lead single from the album. An English version was subsequently released in the United States on December 20, 2011, by Interscope Records and Universal Music Group in order to expand the group's popularity outside their native country. Busker Busker () is a South Korean indie band who rose to fame through their runner-up performance in the South Korean music audition television program ''Superstar K3'' on Mnet. The band consists of guitarist and vocalist Jang Beom-june, bassist Kim Hyung-tae and drummer Brad Moore. ''Busker Busker 1st Album'' and its single "Cherry Blossom Ending" were released in March 2012. Huh Gak (; born November 15, 1984) is a South Korean singer. He rose to fame after winning the 2010 Mnet talent competition series ''Superstar K 2,'' during which he became known as "the Korean Paul Potts." Early life and education Huh Gak was born in Incheon, South Korea on November 15, 1984. His parents divorced when he was three years old, and he and his twin brother, Huh Gong, were raised by their father. Davichi () is a South Korean pop duo formed in 2008. The duo consists of vocalists Lee Hae-ri and Kang Min-kyung. Their name, "Davichi", is derived from the Korean phrase "shining over everything" ( 다 비치). 10cm () is a South Korean musical act currently composed of singer-songwriter Kwon Jung-yeol. Originally a duo composed of Kwon and Yoon Cheol-jong, 10cm debuted in 2010. With the release of the single "Americano," the group quickly became one of the most popular indie acts in South Korea, winning the This Year's Discovery Award at the 2010 Mnet Asian Music Awards, followed by Best Pop Song at the 2011 Korean Music Awards.
