Aldo, Giovanni & Giacomo are an Italian trio of comedians, actors, directors and screenwriters, composed of Aldo Baglio (; born 28 September 1958), Giovanni Storti (; born 20 February 1957) and Giacomo Poretti (; born 26 April 1956). Performing in cinema, theatre and television, they are among the most successful and widely known Italian comedians. Their humour is typically Milanese, involving scenes that develop from a simple idea, and that are often centred on stereotypical differences between Northern and Southern Italy. Gino Bramieri
Gino Bramieri (; 21 June 1928 – 18 June 1996) was an Italian comedian and actor. He was especially known as a television comedian, but also performed in theatres, on radio, and in about thirty movies. He was nicknamed "Il Re della barzelletta" ("the King of jokes") for his burlesque comic style, which was largely based on his skill at telling funny stories. His jokes were sometimes as quick as a cut and thrust, and bordering on surrealism. They have been collected in a series of books, such as ''50 chili fa'' ("50 kilos ago", a collection he published after dieting). Biography Bramieri was born in Milan, Italy, into a humble family. Giorgio Bracardi
Giorgio Bracardi (born 3 May 1933) is an Italian actor, composer and stand-up comedian. Life and career Born in Rome, the older brother of the actor, pianist and composer Franco, for many years Bracardi worked around the world as a piano player (accompanying, among others, Maurice Chevalier and José Feliciano) and performing as an entertainer. He became famous in 1970, thanks to the radio variety show of Renzo Arbore and Gianni Boncompagni ''Alto gradimento'' ("''High liking''"), where he gave voice to some absurd and surreal characters such as Scarpantibus, Max Vinella, the Colonel Buttiglione and the hierarch Catenacci. Franco Bracardi
Franco Bracardi (16 May 1937 – 27 February 2005) was an Italian actor, composer, pianist and stand-up comedian. Born in Rome, during the first half of the fifties Bracardi began working as a jazz pianist in night clubs. In 1960 he became the pianist of The Flippers, a beat group which also included Lucio Dalla (sax, clarinet and vocals). Since mid-sixties he started composing songs for Mina, Mireille Mathieu and Raffaella Carrà, among others. During the same years he debuted as an actor and a comedian, performing at "Setteperotto", a small cabaret in Rome. He later starred in several films, mainly of humorous genre. Bombolo
Franco Lechner, best known as Bombolo (22 May 1931 – 21 August 1987), was an Italian character actor and comedian. Life and career Born in Rome into a humble family, a former peddler of dishes, Lechner was discovered in a tavern by Franco Castellacci and Pierfrancesco Pingitore, who entered him in their cabaret company "Il Bagaglino". He got a large popularity in cinema as the sidekick of Tomas Milian in a successful series of half-serious poliziottesco films directed by Bruno Corbucci. He was also partner of Enzo Cannavale in a number of comedy films. He died at age 56 as a result of complications following a major surgical operation. Massimo Boldi
Massimo Antonio Boldi (born 23 July 1945) is an Italian stand-up comedian and actor. Biography Boldi was born in Luino on 23 July 1945. In 1955 his family moved to Milan, where he joined evening classes and began working as a window-dresser and then as a door-to-door salesman for a pastry company. In 1968 he started performing in cabaret. In the 1970s he did not perform, but managed a ''bar-latteria'' in Milan. On 29 September 1973 he married Marisa Selo (cousin of Formula One driver Michele Alboreto). Their marriage lasted until Selo's death on 8 April 2004. Enrico Beruschi (born 5 September 1941) is an Italian comedian, actor, singer and television personality. He studied at the Italian Liceo classico in Milan, having Cochi Ponzoni as his deskmate. Roberto Benigni
Roberto Remigio Benigni (; born 27 October 1952) is an Italian actor, comedian, screenwriter and director. He gained international recognition for writing, directing and starring in the Holocaust comedy-drama film ''Life Is Beautiful'' (1997), for which he received the Academy Awards for Best Actor (the first for a non-English speaking male performance) and Best International Feature Film. Lino Banfi (born Pasquale Zagaria; 9 July 1936) is an Italian film actor and presenter. He has appeared in more than 100 films since 1960. Biography He was born in the Apulian city of Andria and at the age of three, moved to Canosa di Puglia. Lino Banfi became one of the most well-known actors in Italian "sexy comedies" in the 1970s.
