The Cinema of India consists of motion pictures produced in India, which had a large effect on world cinema since the late 20th century. Major centers of film production across the country include Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Kochi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack and Guwahati. ''Kubi Matthu Iyala'' is a 1992 Indian Kannada-language comedy drama film directed and produced by Sadanand Suvarna and written by Poornachandra Tejaswi based on his own story. The film featured Charuhasan , Raghubir Yadav, Lalithanjali and Vaishali Kasaravalli in the lead roles along with a large number of theater artistes in key supporting roles. The film's music was composed by L. Vaidyanathan and cinematography is G. S. Bhaskar. The plot revolves around a remote village which is filled with superstitious beliefs and a doctor stationed in the village tries to wipe out all the superstition among the villagers. ''Visaranai'' () is a 2015 Indian Tamil-language crime drama film written and directed by Vetrimaaran. It is based on the novel ''Lock Up'' by M. Chandrakumar. The film stars Dinesh, Anandhi, Samuthirakani, Aadukalam Murugadoss, Kishore, Pradheesh Raj, and Silambarasan Rathnasamy. The film deals with lives of two men before and after thrown into a kafkaesque scenario in which they get tortured for confession. The film premiered in the Orrizonti (Horizons) section of the 72nd Venice Film Festival, where it won the Amnesty International Italia Award. U Turn (2016 Film)
''U Turn'' is a 2016 Indian Kannada-language supernatural thriller film written, produced and directed by Pawan Kumar. It stars Shraddha Srinath in the lead role. Roger Narayan, Dileep Raj and Radhika Chetan feature in supporting roles. The plot revolves around the death of motorists who break a traffic rule at a particular flyover in Bangalore and subsequent pinning down of the culprit by an intern journalist and police inspector duo. ''U-Turn'' was first remade in Malayalam in 2017 as '' Careful''. ''Karma'' is a 2015 Indian Tamil-language murder mystery film directed, produced and written by R. Arvind in his debut. The features two characters namely a police officer and a crime writer throughout the entirety of the film. Cast *R. Arvind as Thamizhselvan and Ranganathan Production The film is an experimental film and unlike other Tamil-language films does not have a heroine, multiple songs, or comedy tracks. In 2012, Arvind held a casting call for the lead actor before ultimately he himself decided to play both of the lead roles. Soundtrack The soundtrack was composed by L. V. Ganesan and compromises of one song "Karma (Title Track)", which was written and sung by lyricist Vairamuthu. For the song, Vairamuthu wrote ten new tirukkuṛaḷs. 3 Deewarein () is a 2003 Indian Hindi-language crime film written, directed and co-starred by Nagesh Kukunoor. Juhi Chawla, Jackie Shroff, Naseeruddin Shah, Gulshan Grover and Sujata Mehta form the rest of the cast.
