List Of Impact Wrestling Pay-per-view Events
This is a list of pay-per-view (PPV) events held by the American professional wrestling promotion Impact Wrestling. From its inception, Impact Wrestling's main output was a two-hour weekly program broadcast exclusively on pay-per-view. Their first event was held on June 19, 2002 in Huntsville, Alabama; the last of these shows aired on September 8, 2004. Soon after the launch of its flagship, weekly television program, '' Impact!'', on June 4, 2004, the promotion began producing monthly, live, three-hour pay-per-view events; the first of these events, Victory Road aired on November 7, 2004. These events were initially held at the Impact Zone in Orlando, Florida. In January 2013, Impact's monthly event schedule was revamped to focus on four, quarterly-held, PPV cards (later reduced to two events per year, from 2015 to 2017). Professional wrestling is a form of theater that revolves around staged wrestling matches. The mock combat is performed in a ring similar to the kind used in boxing, and the dramatic aspects of pro wrestling may be performed both in the ring or—as in televised wrestling shows—in backstage areas of the venue, in similar form to reality television. Professional wrestling as a form of theater evolved out of the widespread practice of match fixing among wrestlers in the early 20th century. Rather than sanction the wrestlers for their deceit as was done with boxers, the public instead came to see professional wrestling as a performance art rather than a sport. Jeremy Lynn (born June 12, 1963), better known by the ring name Jerry Lynn, is an American retired professional wrestler currently signed with All Elite Wrestling as a producer and coach. He has worked for promotions such as World Championship Wrestling (WCW), Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), NWA Total Nonstop Action (NWA TNA), and Ring of Honor (ROH). He is best known for his stint in World Championship Wrestling in 2001 under the ring name Kid Romeo, where he was one half of the first ever Cruiserweight Tag Team Champions alongside Elix Skipper. Ronnie Aaron Killings (born January 19, 1972) is an American professional wrestler and rapper. He is currently signed to WWE, performing on the Raw brand under the ring name R-Truth.
