Ambition (TV Series)
''Ambition'' is a Hong Kong thriller television series produced by TVB and starring Gallen Lo, Amy Kwok, Michael Tao and Wong Wai. The series was released overseas in 1993 before airing locally on TVB Jade in 1996. Plot Cheung Man-wai (Gallen Lo) is an outstanding student of the Hong Kong University who conceals the fact that his mother is a madam of a brothel and dreams of prospering in life. Due to his personality, Kwok Ka-bo (Michael Tao) is Man-wai's only friend and confidant. The ambitious Man-wai is bent on putting himself under the patronage of a bigwig and marries Lily Cheung (Noel Leung), daughter of wealthy tycoon Cheung Yiu-tung (Wong Wai). Man-wai murders his girlfriend, Law Siu-fong (Cheung Man-sui), and in a deliberate arrangement, wins Lily's heart. ''Beautiful Cooking'' (Traditional Chinese: 美女廚房, literally: Beautiful Girl's Kitchen) is a Hong Kong variety show broadcast on TVB. The show began broadcasting on May 28, 2006 hosted by Ronald Cheng, Alex Fong and Edmond Leung. The second season began broadcast from April 5, 2009. Format The game participants include 3 female Hong Kong celebrities. Usually the girls are invited for their beauty or celebrity status. The girls are given an apron to wear on top of the clothes they come in. Competition 1 For the first competition, a master chef will cook a more complicated dish and then explain the recipe and cooking procedure. The female celebrities are then requested to match the chef's dish by trying to imitate the cooking and recipe. ''Battlefield Network'' is a 2000 Hong Kong television drama produced by ATV and starring Sunny Chan, Wayne Lai, Astrid Chan and Berg Ng. It was aired on ATV Home from 18 December 2000 to 16 March 2001 with one part airing from 18 December 2000 to 9 February 2001 from 8:30PM to 9:30PM and the rest from 12 February to 16 March 2001 from 10PM to 11PM. Overview The series revolves around a fictional Hong Kong senior counsel named Tony Tseung (Adam Cheng). Senior Counsel Tseung is well known for winning 31 legal cases in a row, but is also notorious in legal circles for his unsavory (but ethical) tactics. ''At the Threshold of an Era'' () was a Hong Kong epic drama series broadcast by TVB Jade Channel from 11 October to 18 December 1999 and 13 March to 26 May 2000 and was extensively promoted by TVB as its cross-millennium, one-hundred-episode-long epic. The series composed of two parts, with a gap in between airing. The entire series took place in a continuing flashback, with the protagonist, Tim Yip (Gallen Lo), pondering the trials and tribulations he went through while riding on a train in the "green city" he developed.
