Kurds
ug:كۇردلار Kurds ( ku, کورد ,Kurd, italic=yes, rtl=yes) or Kurdish people are an Iranian ethnic group native to the mountainous region of Kurdistan in Western Asia, which spans southeastern Turkey, northwestern Iran, northern Iraq, and northern Syria. There are exclaves of Kurds in Central Anatolia, Khorasan, and the Caucasus, as well as significant Kurdish diaspora communities in the cities of western Turkey (in particular Istanbul) and Western Europe (primarily in Germany). The Kurdish population is estimated to be between 30 and 45 million. Kurds speak the Kurdish languages and the Zaza–Gorani languages, which belong to the Western Iranian branch of the Iranian languages. Kurdo Jalal Omar Abdel Kader (Kurdish languages, Kurdish: كوردۆ جهلال عومهر عهبدولقادر, born 30 November 1988) better known by the mononym Kurdo is a German rapper of Iraqis, Iraqi Kurds, Kurdish origin from Heidelberg, Germany. Born in Kurdistan, he immigrated with his family to Germany when he was eight. In 2011, he launched his music through YouTube and was signed by the label Azzlackz. A few months later, he founded his own label Beefhaus with a debut mixtape ''11ta Stock Sound'' and the single "Nike Kappe". Azad Azadpour (born 24 November 1973), known professionally as Azad, is a German rapper of Kurdish descent based in Frankfurt. As one of the first German street rappers who become successful, he strongly influenced the German rap scene. Career After having arrived in Germany from Sanandaj in Iranian Kurdistan at the young age of 10, he was into hip hop, rap, beatboxing, and graffiti. In 1988, he joined D-Flame (Daniel Kretschmer), A-Bomb, and Combad in Cold-N-Locco. The group was renamed Asiatic Warriors in 1990 and mixed songs in German, English, Persian and Kurdish and achieved great fame through signing with Ruff'n'Raw Label and the EP ''Told Ya!''. Aykut Anhan (born 16 December 1985), known by his stage name Haftbefehl (meaning "arrest warrant" in German), is a German rapper. He was signed to his own record label Azzlack, before signing with the label Echte Musik. Biography Haftbefehl was born Aykut Anhan in Offenbach am Main, West Germany, on 16 December 1985. He grew up in a Turkish-speaking household, raised by a Turkish mother (from Giresun) and a Zaza–Kurdish father from East Turkish province Tunceli. By Anhan's own account, he dropped out of school after his father's suicide which happened when he was 14.
