Bayer Giants Leverkusen is a professional basketball club, part of the TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen sports club based in Leverkusen, Germany. It currently plays in ProA, the second division of German basketball. Based on the number of titles, Leverkusen is the most successful team in the history of German Basketball. In 2009, the Bayer company cut down sponsorship and the club went down to Germany's ProB (third division) to restructure. The license for the Basketball Bundesliga was transferred to the newly formed Giants Düsseldorf. MTV Wolfenbüttel was a basketball club based in Wolfenbüttel, Germany. The basketball club established in 1956 within the multi-sports club MTV Wolfenbüttel (''Männerturnverein Wolfenbüttel'' / in English: ''Men's gymnastics club Wolfenbüttel''). Brandt Hagen Hagen is a professional basketball club from Hagen in Germany. History It is the successor of Brandt Hagen, a professional club that had considerable success in the German Basketball Bundesliga in the 90s. In April 1990, the club was formed by merging the basketball teams of SSV Goldstar Hagen and TSV Hagen 1860. Dirk Bauermann
Dirk Bauermann (born 10 December 1957) is a German professional basketball coach. Playing career Bauermann played club basketball in the German senior club of BBC Krefeld, from 1975 to 1981. Club coaching career Bauermann was an assistant coach at Fresno State University, with the Fresno State Bulldogs, from 1986 to 1988. He was then an assistant coach with the German League club TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen during the 1988-89 season, before becoming the team's head coach prior to the 1989-90 season. With Leverkusen, he won 7 German League championships and 4 German Cups, and was twice named the German League's Coach of the Year. He then coached the Belgian League club Oostende, and after that, the Greek club Apollon Patras, which was competing in the Greek Second Division at the time. Lester Habegger
Lester Habegger (November 13, 1924 – July 6, 2017) was the general manager of the Seattle SuperSonics from 1983 to 1985. Before he joined the SuperSonics, Habegger became an assistant coach for the Seattle Pacific Falcons in 1956. As their coach from 1957 to 1974, Habegger and Seattle Pacific reached the quarterfinals of the 1965 NCAA College Division basketball tournament. Upon leaving his coaching position, Habegger had 272 wins and 176 losses. For his NBA career, Habegger primarily worked as an assistant coach for the SuperSonics and the Milwaukee Bucks between 1977 and 1987. Habegger continued his assistant coaching experience with the Washington Huskies in 1990. Outside of the United States, Habegger coached in Germany from 1987 to 1990. Tony DiLeo (born August 8, 1955) is a former American basketball executive and former coach. He served as the 21st head coach of the Philadelphia 76ers of the NBA, taking over the position mid-season on December 13, 2008 after then-head coach Maurice Cheeks was fired after starting the season with a 9–14 record. The team went 32–27 under DiLeo's leadership (finishing the season 41–41 overall), and lost their Eastern Conference quarterfinals series to the Orlando Magic. At the end of the season, DiLeo withdrew his name from consideration to return as head coach, opting instead to return to the Sixers' front office as senior vice president and assistant general manager.
