The following is a list of characters that appear in ''Fraggle Rock'', its animated spin-off, and all related projects. Fraggles The Fraggles are anthropomorphic creatures, about tall," with fur in a wide variety of colors and a tail similar to a lion's, with a tuft of fur on the end. ''Fraggle Rock'' (also known as ''Jim Henson's Fraggle Rock'' or ''Fraggle Rock with Jim Henson's Muppets'') is a children's musical fantasy comedy puppet television series about interconnected societies of Muppet creatures, created by Jim Henson. Steve Whitmire
Steven Lawrence Whitmire (born September 24, 1959) is an American puppeteer, known primarily for his work on ''The Muppets'' and ''Sesame Street''. Beginning his involvement with the Muppets in 1978, Whitmire inherited the roles of Ernie and Kermit the Frog after Jim Henson's death in 1990; he performed the characters until 2014 and 2016, respectively. As part of the Muppet cast, he has appeared in multiple feature films and television series, performing a variety of characters on ''The Muppet Show'', ''Sesame Street'', and ''Fraggle Rock'' and during such occupations has been employed by The Jim Henson Company, Sesame Workshop, and The Muppets Studio. Patrick Cullen Pinney (born June 30, 1952) is an American television, film and voice actor. Early life, family and education Pinney was born in San Francisco County, California. His mother's maiden name is his middle name. He attended college at University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, where producer and director Dennis Jones was a classmate and roommate of his. Kevin Clash
Kevin Jeffrey Clash (born September 17, 1960) is an American puppeteer, director and producer known for puppeteering Elmo on ''Sesame Street'' from 1984 to 2012. He also performed puppets for ''Labyrinth'', ''Dinosaurs'', '' Oobi'', and various Muppet productions. Clash developed an interest in puppetry at an early age and, in his teen years, performed for local television children's shows in his hometown of Baltimore, Maryland. He joined the cast of ''Captain Kangaroo'' in the early 1980s and began performing on ''Sesame Street'' in 1984. Karen Leigh Prell (born July 26, 1959) is an American puppeteer and animator. She is the performer of Red Fraggle in ''Fraggle Rock''. Early life and career Prell was born on July 26, 1959 in Florida but grew up in Seattle, Washington. She also performed some characters in other Jim Henson films and has enjoyed a significant second career as a computer animator for such studios as Pixar and DNA. Frank Meschkuleit (born 1962) is a Canadian voice actor, puppeteer and comedian known for his role as Toopy on the Canadian television series '' Toopy and Binoo''. Meschkuleit began his performing career as a mime, and broke into puppeteering with an audition for the 1979 film ''The Muppet Movie'' and parts in '' Don't Eat the Neighbours'' and ''Dragon''. David Charles Goelz (; born July 16, 1946) is an American puppeteer and puppet builder known for his work with the Muppets.
