Background During the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States, amateur wrestling, known for being an active sport with multiple competitions in the USA, was forced to close down. The biggest promotions of different sports, such as the NFL and the NBA, were absent during this time, and so was FloWrestling. The Cornell Big Red wrestling team represents Cornell University of Ithaca, New York in collegiate wrestling. It is one of the most successful and storied collegiate wrestling programs in the nation with over 20 individual NCAA champions and 42 Ivy League and 26 Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association championships since the program's 1907 founding. Since 2021, the Cornell wrestling team has been coached by two-time NCAA All-American and former Cornell wrestler Mike Grey, who took over for Rob Koll, who left for Stanford after 28 years as head coach. Kayla Miracle (born April 26, 1996) is an American wrestler competing through Campbellsville University, Kentucky. She is currently majoring in Sports Management. G'Angelo Hancock (born July 27, 1997) is an American Greco-Roman wrestler. He won one of the bronze medals in the 97 kg event at the 2021 World Wrestling Championships held in Oslo, Norway. Anthony Luis Echemendía Orduña (born September 10, 1999) is a Cuban freestyle and folkstyle wrestler who competes at 65 kilograms.
