The FIFA World Cup is an international association football competition contested by the senior men's national teams of the ' (FIFA, the International Federation of Association Football), the sport's global governing body. Lusail Stadium ( ar, استاد لوسيل, ), also unofficially known as Lusail Iconic Stadium, is a football stadium in Lusail, Qatar. Owned by the Qatar Football Association, it is the largest stadium in Qatar by capacity and one of eight stadiums built for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, during which it hosted the final game between Argentina and France on 18 December 2022. It is currently the fourth largest stadium in Asia but eventually will reduce its current capacity of 88,966 to 40,000 in the near future. The stadium is located about north of Doha. The 1986 FIFA World Cup Final was the final and deciding game of the 1986 FIFA World Cup, held in Mexico. The match was held at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City on 29 June 1986 and had an attendance of 114,600. It was contested by Argentina and West Germany. The World Cup is a solid gold trophy that is awarded to the winners of the FIFA World Cup association football tournament. Since the advent of the World Cup in 1930, two trophies have been used: the Jules Rimet Trophy from 1930 to 1970, before the FIFA World Cup Trophy from 1974 to the present day. It is one of the most expensive trophies in sporting history, valued at $250,000. The first trophy, originally named ''Victory'', but later renamed in honour of FIFA president Jules Rimet, was made of gold plated sterling silver and lapis lazuli.
