Final Fight Championship (FFC) is an international fighting sports promotion company founded in 2003 by the FFC owner and CEO Orsat Zovko. The company has its headquarters in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, as well as a European office in Zagreb, Croatia. FFC started as a kickboxing promotion, in 2013 FFC introduced MMA fights in its events as well as boxing matches in 2016. Events History The Final Fight: Stars War ''The Final Fight: Stars War'' was the first event produced by the Final Fight Championship that was held on 31 October 2003 at Dom Sportova in Zagreb, Croatia. Brian "Bad Ass" Douwes (born 21 November 1987 in Beverwijk) is a Dutch kickboxer fighting out of Team Spirit, formerly known as Top Team Beverwijk in Beverwijk. He competed in K-1, Enfusion Live, Superkombat and Glory. As of 1 May 2017, he is ranked the #10 light-heavyweight in the world by Combat Press. Biography and career Brian Douwes was born in Beverwijk, North Holland. He started training Muay Thai when he was 14 years old, under the guidance of former world champion Gilbert Ballantine, Hans Nijman, Dick Vrij. He made his K-1 debut on the undercard of K-1 World MAX 2006 Netherlands tournament against Sander Duyvis, winning the fight by unanimous decision. Pavel Zhuravlev ( Ukrainian: Павло Журавльов, Pavlo Zhuravlov; Russian: Павел Журавлёв; born July 27, 1983) is a Ukrainian kickboxer and boxer. He is the former Interim GLORY Light Heavyweight Champion, the 2012 SUPERKOMBAT World Grand Prix Tournament Champion, the 2013 Legend Fighting Show -93 kg Tournament Champion and the 2012 K-1 World Grand Prix Final Semifinalist. Dževad Poturak (born September 20, 1977) is a Bosnian heavyweight kickboxer, fighting out of Jumruk Gym in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is the former WAKO Pro World Low-Kick champion and K-1 Fighting Network Prague 2007 tournament champion. He holds notable wins over Daniel Ghiță, Melvin Manhoef and Sergei Lashchenko. Career Poturak first came to prominence when he defeated Siniša Puljak to win the WKA European Championship on December 21, 2003. He then made his K-1 debut at K-1 Grand Prix BIH 2004 in June 2004, losing to Josip Bodrozic. M-1 Global (Mixfight-1) or MMA-1 (Mixed martial arts-1) is a mixed martial arts promotion based in St. Petersburg, Russia which organizes between 10 and 20 competitions per year.
