Pakhtakor Tashkent FK is an Uzbek professional football club based in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The club was formed on 8 April 1956 in Tashkent. The club played its first matches against team of Molotov city, now Perm. From 1956 to 1991 Pakhtakor played in different leagues of USSR. From 1992 club has played in the highest Uzbek Football Division, Uzbek League. The club plays its matches at Pakhtakor Stadium. Gennadi Denisov holds the record for most overall appearances, having played 371 matches from 1978-1991, ahead of Berador Abduraimov with 358 caps from 1960 to 1974 with interrupts in career for playing in other clubs, and of legendary forward Gennadi Krasnitsky with 300 appearances in 13 seasons played for Pakhtakor. Gennadi Krasnitsky is club's all-time top scorer with over 200 goals. The 2nd top scorer is Berador Abduraimov with 131 goals. Nikolai Borisovich Kulikov
Nikolai Borisovich Kulikov (Russian: Куликов, Николай Борисович; April 25, 1953 in Moscow, USSR – August 11, 1979 in Dniprodzerzhynsk, Ukraine SSR) was a Soviet footballer. Kulikov played for Pakhtakor Tashkent as a defender from 1976 to 1979, before he died in a mid-air plane crash in August 1979. He was classified as a Master of Sport of the USSR in 1979. Valeri Kechinov
Valery Viktorovich Kechinov (russian: Валерий Викторович Кечинов; born 5 August 1974) is a Uzbekistani and Russian former international footballer, who spent the majority of his playing career at Spartak Moscow. Playing career Kechinov was born in Uzbekistan and started his professional career at local Pakhtakor, with whom he won the Uzbek League title, before moving to Moscow. With Spartak, Kechinov won six Russian Premier League titles and one Cup. In 2001, after falling out with Oleg Romantsev, Kechinov spent almost entire season on the bench and at the end of the season signed a deal with Saturn Ramenskoe.
