This is a list of English football transfers for the ''2016 summer transfer window''. Only moves featuring at least one Premier League or Championship club are listed. The summer transfer window began once clubs had concluded their final domestic fixture of the 2015–16 season, but many transfers will only officially go through on 1 July because the majority of player contracts finish on 30 June. The window will remain open until 18:00 BST on 1 September 2016. The window shuts at 18:00 BST this time due to the UEFA player registration deadlines for both the Champions League and Europa League ending at 23:00 BST, giving the 6 sides still in Europe time to conclude deals and register their player for continental matches if appropriate. Premier League
The Premier League (legal name: The Football Association Premier League Limited) is the highest level of the men's English football league system. Contested by 20 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the English Football League (EFL). Seasons typically run from August to May with each team playing 38 matches (playing all 19 other teams both home and away). Most games are played on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, with occasional weekday evening fixtures. Isak Ssewankambo
Isak Ssali Ssewankambo (born 27 February 1996) is a Swedish professional footballer who plays as a defender in the Allsvenskan club IFK Norrköping. Club career Early career Ssewankambo started playing football at age five and immediately joined Lärje-Angereds IF. He then moved to IFK Göteborg when he was nine and after two years later, returned to Lärje-Angereds IF. At fourteen, Ssewankambo left Sweden to move to Premier League side Chelsea, bringing his family with him. During his time at Chelsea, Ssewankambo played in the club's Reserves and Academy. After being released by Chelsea, Ssewankambo joined Eredivisie side NAC Breda on a one-year contract with an option for another year. The Colorado Rapids are an American professional soccer club based in the Denver metropolitan area. The Rapids compete in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member of the Western Conference. Founded in 1995, as part of the Anschutz Corporation, later to be a founding sports franchise of the global sports & entertainment juggernaut AEG, the club is a founding member of MLS, playing their first season in 1996. Alexander James Davey (born 24 November 1994) is a former professional footballer who played as a defender. Born in England, Davey is a former Scotland under-19 international. Club career Chelsea Born in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, Davey joined Chelsea at the age of ten. He made his Under-18 debut for the club as a schoolboy during the 2010–11 season, making 12 appearances. That season Davey also made his debut for the club's Reserves against Manchester United in April 2011. Huddersfield is a market town in the Kirklees district in West Yorkshire, England. It is the administrative centre and largest settlement in the Kirklees district.
