Anders Bodelsen
Anders Bodelsen (11 February 1937 – 17 October 2021) was a Danish writer primarily associated with the 1960 new-realism wave in Danish literature, along with Christian Kampmann and Henrik Stangerup. Bodelsen preferred the social-realistic style of writing, often thrillers about middle-class people who face the consequences of materialism, which often clashes with their human values. His thrillers also experiment with ordinary persons tempted by e.g. theft and border-morale issues. Most known is Bodelsen's novel ''Think of a Number'' (''Tænk på et tal'', 1968) filmed as ''The Silent Partner'' in 1978. Also widely known is his cooperation with Danish National Television (Danmarks Radio) on the filming of some of his children's thrillers, e.g. '' Guldregn'' ("Golden Rain", 1986). Furthermore, he also made some lesser known radio plays. He had a very brief cameo in the second of the ''Olsen-banden'' series of films, ''Olsen-banden på spanden''. Bodelsen died on 17 October 202 ...

The film was the first to be produced by Carolco Pictures and one of the earliest films from within the country to take advantage of the Canadian government's "Capital Cost Allowance" incentive plan, which gave production companies tax inducements to make commercial films in Canada. It has been called "one of the few truly good films to come out of the tax-shelter heyday of the 1970s." ''The Silent Partner'' is also notable for being one of the very few films to have a score composed by jazz great Oscar Peterson, and for featuring an early big-screen appearance by John Candy. It was a major critical and commercial success, winning three Canadian Film Awards ...

Pusher (1996 Film)

A Hindi remake of the same name was released in 2010, as well as an English-language remake in 2012. Plot The film begins in Copenhagen with a low-leve ...
