Hussein Riad
Hussein Mohamed Shafiq ( ar, حسين محمد شفيق, more commonly known by his stage name Hussein Riad ( ar, حسين رياض , (1897–1965) was an Egyptian actor, who mainly played "dad roles". His career spanned about 46 years and he appeared in approximately 320 films, 240 theater plays, and 150 radio and 50 TV plays. Early life Riad was born "Hussein Mohamed Shafiq" ( ar, حسين محمد شفيق in 1897 in the Al-Sayeda Zaynab district of Cairo, Egypt, to an Egyptian father and a Syrian mom. He later changed his name to ''Hussein Riad''. His brother was into acting too, he was the artist Mohamed Fouad (known by his stage name Fouad Shafiq). In 1916 he quit school to start acting and joined the Arab Acting Institute. Career By 1923 Riad worked with Youssef Wahbi's Theatrical Troupe as well as other notable actors. Andrew Marton
Andrew Marton (born Endre Marton; 26 January 1904 – 7 January 1992) was a Hungarian-American film director. In his career, he directed 39 films and television programs, and worked on 16 as a second unit director, including the chariot race in '' Ben Hur'' (1959). Life and career Marton was born in Budapest, Hungary. After high-school graduation in 1922 he was taken by Alfréd Deésy to Vienna to work at Sascha-Film, mostly as an assistant editor. After a few months, he rose the attention of director Ernst Lubitsch, who convinced him to try Hollywood. Marton returned to Europe in 1927, and worked as the main editor of the Tobis company in Berlin, and later as an assistant director in Vienna. He directed his ''Two O'Clock in the Morning'', first feature film, in 1929 in Great Britain. He joined a German expedition to Tibet in 1934, where he filmed ''Demon of the Himalayas''. Enrico Bomba
Enrico Bomba (born 2 August 1922-?) was an Italian movie producer, director, and screenwriter. He also worked in television. He was born in Amatrice, Province of Rieti, Italy. Career Bomba worked in various capacities from 1949 onward. In 1952, he directed his first film, ''Prigionieri delle tenebre'' (''Prisoners of Darkness''); and in the following year he commenced a film called ''Jezebel'', although it was never completed. In the 1960s/1970s, he worked steadily as a director and screenwriter, directing two films featuring Agent 777 (under the name Henry Bay) and two ''decamerotici'' (films inspired by ''The Decameron''). Romantic comedy (also known as romcom or rom-com) is a subgenre of comedy and slice of life fiction, focusing on lighthearted, humorous plot lines centered on romantic ideas, such as how true love is able to surmount most obstacles. In a typical romantic comedy, the two lovers tend to be young, likeable, and seemingly meant for each other, yet they are kept apart by some complicating circumstance (e.g., class differences, parental interference, a previous girlfriend or boyfriend) until, surmounting all obstacles, they are finally united. Rushdy Saiid El Bughdady Abaza ( arz, رشدي سعيد البوغدادي أباظة) (3 August 1926 – 27 July 1980) was an Egyptian film and television actor. He was considered one of the most charming actors in the Egyptian film industry. He died of brain cancer at the age of 53. Magda Sabbahi or Magda ( ar, ماجدة; 6 May 1931 – 16 January 2020) was an Egyptian film actress notable for her roles from 1949 to 1994. Life Afaf Ali Kamel Sabbahi was born on 6 May 1931 in Tanta, Gharbia Governorate. She was one of the greatest stars of Egyptian cinema, taking the lead role in sixty films. For her film career she took the stage name of Magda. In 1956, Magda founded her own film production company. In 1958, she played the lead role in the film by Youssef Chahine, ''Jamila al Jaza'iriya'' (Jamila, the Algerian) opposite Salah Zulfikar and Ahmed Mazhar, the film was based on the story of Djamila Bouhired. In 1963, she married the intelligence officer and actor, Ihab Nafe, with whom she had her only daughter, Ghada, in 1965.
