College Basketball On ESPN
''ESPN College Basketball'' is a blanket title used for presentations of college basketball on ESPN and its family of networks. Its coverage focuses primarily on competition in NCAA Division I, holding broadcast rights to games from each major conference, and a number of mid-major conferences. ESPN was the first broadcaster to provide extensive early-round coverage of NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship, prior to CBS, later in partnership with Turner Sports, holding sole rights to " March Madness". Mark Jones (sportscaster)
Mark Vernon Jones is a Canadian sports commentator, sportscaster for ESPN on ABC, ABC and ESPN and the primary play-by-play announcer for Sacramento Kings games on NBC Sports California. Jones has been a member of the ESPN broadcasting family since 1990. Before then Jones worked for The Sports Network (TSN) in Canada. He mostly works college football and NBA on ESPN, NBA games on ABC and ESPN. Biography Mark Jones was born on November 16, 1961. Basketball career Jones attended York University and played basketball. He led the team to three Ontario Universities Athletics Association (OUAA) championships in 1981, 1984 and 1985. Bob Wischusen
Robert Wischusen (born October 1, 1971) is an American sports commentator who is currently a hockey, college football and basketball voice for ESPN and the radio voice announcer for the New York Jets on WEPN-FM. Biography Early life and career Wischusen grew up in New Jersey, and attended Union Catholic Regional High School in Scotch Plains. He then attended Boston College and began his sportscasting experience on WZBC, the school's 1000-watt FM radio station broadcasting to the Greater Boston area. Classmates and fellow broadcasters at WZBC included Joe Tessitore and Jon Sciambi, both of whom also went on to become successful sports announcers. Pam Ward is an on-air personality for the cable sports television network ESPN, serving as one of the play-by-play announcers for ESPN's coverage of the 2012 and 2013 Women's College World Series of Softball. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park with a degree in communications. Daniel Shulman is a Canadian sportscaster with Sportsnet as well as the American network ESPN. Shulman serves as a play-by-play announcer for select Toronto Blue Jays telecasts on Sportsnet and during 2018 and 2020 he hosted the baseball-themed podcast, ''Swing and a Belt with Dan Shulman.'' Jon "Boog" Sciambi (; born April 11, 1970) is an American sportscaster for ESPN and the Marquee Sports Network, currently the everyday play-by-play announcer for the Chicago Cubs TV broadcasts. He has worked extensively as a baseball play-by-play announcer, calling games for ESPN television and on ESPN Radio. Bob Picozzi (born June 4, 1951) is a television and radio announcer who was employed by ESPN and Fox Sports as a play-by-play announcer for college football and basketball. Biography Picozzi was born in Summit, New Jersey, and graduated from Seton Hall University. He graduated in 1968 from Notre Dame High School (Lawrenceville, New Jersey) and was inducted into the school's Athletic Hall of Fame and the WSOU (Seton Hall University) Hall of Fame. Personal life Pasch grew up in Madison, Wisconsin, to parents Robert and Ina. Pasch grew up in a Reform Jewish home.
