''Dragon Ball Super'' is a Japanese manga series written by Akira Toriyama and illustrated by Toyotarou. It is a sequel to Toriyama's original ''Dragon Ball'' and follows Son Goku and his friends as he faces even more powerful foes. After meeting the destructive deity Beerus, and attaining the power of a god, Goku ends up traveling to other universes to protect his own. ''Dragon Ball Super'' began serialization in the August 2015 issue of the monthly magazine ''V Jump'', which was released on June 20, 2015. Its publisher Shueisha periodically collects the chapters into ''tankōbon'' volumes, with 19 published as of August 4, 2022. They also publish the series digitally in English and Spanish on their international ''Manga Plus'' app and website simultaneously as it is published in Japan. , generally spelled Majin Boo in subtitles of the Japanese anime, and rendered as Djinn-Boo in the Viz Media manga, is the final antagonist in the ''Dragon Ball'' manga series created by Akira Toriyama, before the release of '' Dragon Ball Super''. He is introduced in chapter #460 "Majin Buu Appears?!", first published in '' Weekly Shōnen Jump'' magazine on March 1, 1994. , spelled Zamas in Viz Media's English localization of the ''Dragon Ball Super'' manga, is a fictional character in the ''Dragon Ball'' series. He is introduced as in the forty-seventh episode of Toei Animation's '' Dragon Ball Super'' anime series which first aired on June 12, 2016 and in chapter #14 "An SOS from the Future!!" from the manga. Within the series, Zamasu is originally an apprentice from Universe 10.
