''Doctors'' is a British medical soap opera which began broadcasting on BBC One on 26 March 2000. Set in the fictional West Midlands town of Letherbridge, the soap follows the lives of the staff and patients of the Mill Health Centre, a fictional NHS doctor's surgery, as well as its sister surgery located at a nearby university campus. The following is a list of characters that first appeared in ''Doctors'' in 2007 and 2008, by order of first appearance. All characters are introduced by the programme's executive producer, Will Trotter. Vivien March (Anita Carey) was introduced in May 2007, as well as Vera Corrigan (Doña Croll). July 2007 saw the arrival of both Daniel Granger (Matthew Chambers) and Melody Bell (Elizabeth Bower). Jimmi Clay
Dr. Jimmi Clay is a fictional character from the BBC soap opera ''Doctors'', portrayed by Adrian Lewis Morgan. The actor joined the cast shortly after his role in ''Holby City'' came to an end. Morgan was a fan of the soap and was pleased to audition for a regular part. He made his first appearance during the episode broadcast on 5 September 2005 and has gone on to become the programme's longest serving cast member. Upon his introduction, Jimmi is portrayed as being recently separated from his wife and being new to the medical profession. Jimmi has obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD) and Morgan carried out his own research into the disorder to help his portrayal. He later admitted that Jimmi's OCD had begun to impact his own life. Izzie Torres is a fictional character from the BBC One, BBC soap opera ''Doctors (2000 TV series), Doctors''. Izzie has been played by four actresses since her onscreen arrival; Jasmin and Nicole Parkinson between 2008 and 2011, Maizey Corbett in 2012, and Bethan Moore from 2018 to 2022. Owen Brenman
Owen Brenman (born 17 December 1956, in London) is an English actor best known for his role as next-door neighbour Nick Swainey in the multi-award-winning BBC sitcom ''One Foot in the Grave'', which ran for ten years (1990–2000) and was written by David Renwick.
