Tokyo DisneySea
is a theme park at the Tokyo Disney Resort located in Urayasu, Chiba Prefecture, Japan, just next to Tokyo. It opened on 4 September 2001, at a cost of 335 billion yen. The Oriental Land Company owns the park, and licenses intellectual property from The Walt Disney Company. As of 2019, Tokyo DisneySea is the fourth-most visited theme park in the world and the second-most visited in Japan behind its sister park Tokyo Disneyland. History Plans for a second Disney park in Tokyo were first conceived in 1987. Initially, these plans included a park similar to Disney's Hollywood Studios (then Disney-MGM Studios), to be called Disney Hollywood Studio Theme Park at Tokyo Disneyland. This idea was later scrapped in 1992. During the creation of the park, the Walt Disney Company and the Oriental Land Company had to compromise on certain design elements of the park due to cultural differences, such as the park's entrance focal point. Ground was broken on October 22, 1998 and the park op ...

America The Beautiful (Disney)
''America the Beautiful'' was a 360° movie attraction in Circle-Vision 360°, Circarama created by The Walt Disney Company, Walt Disney Productions for the American exhibit at the Expo 58, 1958 Brussels World's Fair. The exhibit was sponsored by the Ford Motor Company. After the fair ended, the film was exhibited in 1959 for six weeks, dubbed in Russian, at the American National Exhibition in Moscow, Russia. The film had its American debut at Disneyland in California in 1960, and it was later added to Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom in Florida in 1971. The Disneyland attraction was housed in the Circle-Vision 360 Theater in Tomorrowland (Disney Parks), Tomorrowland, replacing ''A Tour of the West,'' which had played there since Disneyland's opening day, July 17, 1955. The film was subsequently revised several times, eventually closing in 1984, when it was replaced by ''American Journeys''. Circle-Vision 360 is a film technique that uses multiple cameras arranged in a circle. T ...

America Sings
America Sings was an attraction at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, United States, from 1974 to 1988. It featured a cast of audio animatronics animals that entertained the audience by singing songs from various periods in America's musical history, often in a humorous fashion. History America Sings opened on June 29, 1974, replacing the General Electric-sponsored Carousel of Progress attraction, which had moved to the Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort in 1973. America Sings used the same Carousel Theater as its predecessor. The building had an outer ring of six theaters, connected by divider walls, that revolved mechanically about every four minutes around the six fixed stages in the center of the building. Unlike Disneyland's Carousel of Progress, which rotated clockwise, America Sings rotated in a counterclockwise direction. Also, unlike Carousel of Progress, America Sings only used the lower level of the Carousel Theater. The upper level was eventually used to ...

America On Parade
America on Parade ("AOP") was a temporary replacement for Disneyland's and the Magic Kingdom's The Main Street Electrical Parade ("MSEP") for the United States Bicentennial and for Disneyland's 20th and The Magic Kingdom's 5th anniversaries. Like the Main Street Electrical Parade it was also created under the direction of Disneyland's Director of Entertainment, Bob Jani. The parade float units were designed by New York theatrical designer Peter Larkin. The first run was in the summer of 1975 and was originally designed to run through 1977, to commemorate the United States Bicentennial. Where the Main Street Electrical Parade ran twice nightly, America On Parade ran once during the afternoon and again just prior to the nightly fireworks display. It traveled the full length of Disneyland from It's a Small World to Town Square at the beginning of Main Street, U.S.A. and at Magic Kingdom from Liberty Square to Town Square at the beginning of Main Street, U.S.A. The various parade fl ...

Alien Swirling Saucers
Alien Swirling Saucers is a spinning ride at ''Toy Story'' Land in Disney's Hollywood Studios. First announced at the 2015 D23 Expo, it opened on June 30, 2018, as part of the area's opening. Alien Swirling Saucers uses the same ride system that powers Disney California Adventure Park's ''Mater's Junkyard Jamboree'' and Tokyo Disneyland's '' The Happy Ride With Baymax''. The ride system shares similarities to the classic "Cuddle Up" ride from Philadelphia Toboggan Company and the classic Whip ride from William F. Mangels. It was manufactured by Zamperla. The attraction is themed as a play set that Andy won at Pizza Planet. In 2018, it was announced that it would be constructed in Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris as a part of its 2-billion-dollar expansion. However, more recent concept art has silently cancelled its inclusion in the expansion. Alice's Curious Labyrinth
Alice's Curious Labyrinth is a hedge maze attraction at the Disneyland Park within Disneyland Paris. It opened in 1992 with the Park, and belongs to the British part of Fantasyland. A similar maze attraction, based on both the 1951 and 2010 Disney film adaptations of Lewis Carroll's '' Alice in Wonderland'', exists at Shanghai Disneyland Park. Disneyland Paris The Labyrinth The hedge maze is themed around scenes and characters from the Disney 1951 feature '' Alice in Wonderland''. It comprises two sections: the first one with some of Alice's adventures prior to meeting the Queen of Hearts, and the second based on Alice's encounter with the Queen, who had a similar labyrinth in the film. The goal of the maze is to reach the Queen of Hearts's Castle, where one can obtain an aerial view of the Fantasyland section of the park. One can exit the maze prior to entering the second area, and the maze's route is similar in shape to the body of the Cheshire Cat, with a semi-floral recrea ...

Alice In Wonderland (Disneyland Attraction)
Alice in Wonderland is a dark ride in Fantasyland at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. Based on the 1951 animated Disney film of the same name, the attraction resides next to a second ride, the Mad Tea Party, based on a scene in that same adaptation. The ride opened in 1958; the present version opened in 1984, and was updated in 2014. History Among the many unrealized concepts brought forth during the early stages of Disneyland's development was an intricately detailed, Fantasyland-based walk-through attraction themed around 1951's ''Alice in Wonderland''. The attraction would have seen guests visiting physical adaptations of nearly every scene in the motion picture, each one featuring some zany gag (often reminiscent of traditional carnival funhouses) such as a forced-perspective "shrinking" effect within the corridors of the rabbit hole and rotating platforms circling Dodo's rock that would have simulated the caucus race. The idea of a walk-through exhibit was eventually sc ...

Adventure Thru Inner Space
Adventure Thru Inner Space was an attraction in Disneyland's Tomorrowland, presented by Monsanto Company. It was the first attraction to utilize Disney's Omnimover system. The ride simulated shrinking guests to the size smaller than an atom (the "inner space") before taking a tour of snowflakes at molecular and atomic levels. ''Adventure Thru Inner Space'' opened on August 5, 1967, as part of the New Tomorrowland, and closed in 1985 to make way for Disney and George Lucas's new Star Tours attraction, which opened in early 1987. The attraction was narrated by Paul Frees, who also lent his voice to the Haunted Mansion attraction, another Omnimover attraction which is still open to this day. Synopsis The attraction was designed to simulate humans shrinking to a size smaller than an atom (the "inner space"). As patrons waited in line they saw those before entering one end of the Monsanto Mighty Microscope. The other end of the Monsanto Mighty Microscope had a glass tube in whic ...
