The following is a list of characters that first appeared in the ITV soap opera ''Coronation Street'' in 2001, by order of first appearance. Adam Barlow Adam Barlow is the son of Mike Baldwin ( Johnny Briggs) and Susan Barlow (Joanna Foster). The role was originated by child actor Iain De Caestecker in 2001, making appearances on the show until 2003, but upon the character's return in 2004, he was recast with the former model, Sam Robertson. Robertson reprised the role in November 2016. In November 2016, on his return to Weatherfield, Adam is caught in ''Underworld'' by Johnny Connor (Richard Hawley) and Aidan Connor (Shayne Ward). He, Peter and his aunt Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) visit Ken in hospital after he suffered a stroke. There, they meet Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), who reveals he is Ken's son. The following is a list of characters that first appeared in the ITV soap opera ''Coronation Street'' in 1996, by order of first appearance. Stephen Reid Stephen Reid (also Potter) is the son of Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls), whom her father insisted she gave up for adoption after she gave birth to him when she was 16 years old. Jimmi Harkishin
James "Jimmi" Harkishin (born Rajan Harkishindas; 19 March 1965) is an English actor best known for his role as shopkeeper Dev Alahan in ''Coronation Street'', which he has played continuously since 10 November 1999. He also played Ranjit in the film ''Bhaji on the Beach'' (1993) and Iyaaz Ali Khan in '' East is East'' (1999). Harkishin played Gary Lobo in the ''Jonathan Creek'' episode "Danse Macabre". Harkishin was born in Bangalore, India, to Sindhi parents, Gomomal and Vimla. He has three children, Holli Harkishin, Rajan Harkishin and India Rose Harkishin with partner Susan Beaton. Dev Alahan
Dev Alahan is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera '' Coronation Street''. Portrayed by Jimmi Harkishin, the character's first appearance was broadcast on 10 November 1999. He is the ex-husband of Sunita (Shobna Gulati) and father to Amber Kalirai (Nikki Patel), Aadi Alahan (Zennon Ditchett/Adam Hussain) and Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey). Tina Michelle O'Brien (born 7 August 1983) is an English actress. She is best known for her portrayal of Sarah Platt in the long-running ITV soap opera ''Coronation Street'' (1999–2008, 2015–present). Bruno Langley (born 21 March 1983) is an English former actor.
