Nord And Bert Couldn't Make Head Or Tail Of It
''Nord and Bert Couldn't Make Head or Tail of It'' is an interactive fiction video game written by Jeff O'Neill and published by Infocom in 1987. It was released simultaneously for MS-DOS, Commodore 64, and other platforms. ''Nord and Bert'' was unique among Infocom games in that it used the game engine to present wordplay puzzles rather than an adventure story. It was Infocom's twenty-seventh game. Plot Each chapter of ''Nord and Bert'' is dedicated to a different style of wordplay. The first seven chapters can be played in any order, since each exists as an independent "short story" unrelated to the other chapters; to begin the eighth, however, the player must provide seven "passwords" provided by completing each of the other sections. The only effort made to interlink the separate parts of the game is as follows: reality has somehow been altered around the town of Punster. Idioms and clichés are suddenly manifesting themselves quite literally, and it falls to the player, as it ...

The robot has a "psyche" value which is reduced every time contact is made with a surface, requiring fine control over the robot's movements. Barring the way are enemies which can be shot with the robots lasers, "photon thrusters" (white barriers that pulsate and kill the robot instantly if they contact), and other obstacles, some of which can only be destroyed by finding a bomb and dropping it in the room. Along the way, there are stations a ...

Nodes Of Yesod
''Nodes of Yesod'' is a video game developed and published by Odin Computer Graphics in 1985. The game is similar in style to ''Underwurlde'' by ''Ultimate Play the Game'', which was released a year earlier, and ''Metroid'' which was released a year later, in 1986. The game was released for the Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64, Elan Enterprise 64 and 128 and ZX Spectrum platforms. Versions were also planned for the BBC Micro and MSX platforms but these were cancelled. On the ZX Spectrum, the game came in separate 48K and 128K versions. The latter had improved title-screen music, in-game music and additional synthesised speech. A sequel, '' The Arc of Yesod'', was also published the same year. A "25th Anniversary Edition" was released in 2010 for the iPhone and iOS (Apple) devices. This version included a "classic mode" (very similar to the original ZX Spectrum version) and an "enhanced mode", which featured new colour graphics, help system, map system, save/resume game feature and r ...

Nobby The Aardvark
''Nobby the Aardvark'' is a platform game for the Commodore 64, published in 1993 by Thalamus. Gameplay ''Nobby the Aardvark'' is a platform game taking place over multiple levels. The player takes the role of Nobby, an aardvark who eats ants. The game's plot involves Nobby trying to get to Antopia, a place where there are ants everywhere, so Nobby can eat. In practice, the majority of the levels involve Nobby jumping from one platform to another to reach the exit. Various enemies inhabit the levels. Contact with an enemy is fatal to Nobby, but there are anthills scattered around the levels, and Nobby can spit the ants at enemies to defeat them. Later levels vary the gameplay by having Nobby fly in a hot air balloon or navigate a maze-like shaft mining, mine shaft. Reception ''Zzap!64'' gave ''Nobby the Aardvark'' a 96% rating, putting it in the "Gold Medal" category. See also ''The Ant and the Aardvark'', a cartoon series that inspired the game. References
