Ice Hockey
Ice hockey (or simply hockey) is a team sport played on ice skates, usually on an ice skating rink with lines and markings specific to the sport. It belongs to a family of sports called hockey. In ice hockey, two opposing teams use ice hockey sticks to control, advance and shoot a closed, vulcanized, rubber disc called a " puck" into the other team's goal. Each goal is worth one point. The team which scores the most goals is declared the winner. In a formal game, each team has six skaters on the ice at a time, barring any penalties, one of whom is the goaltender. Dysin Mayo (born May 22, 1997) is a Canadian professional ice hockey Defenceman (ice hockey), defenceman currently playing for the Vegas Golden Knights of the National Hockey League (NHL). Playing career He played junior hockey with the Edmonton Oil Kings and was drafted by the Coyotes in the fifth-round, 133rd overall, of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. He was signed to a three-year, entry-level contract with the Arizona Coyotes during the 2015-16 WHL season, 2015–16 season, on December 27, 2015. Approaching his seventh season within the Coyotes organization, Mayo began the season familiarly assigned to AHL affiliate, the Tucson Roadrunners, in which he was selected as team captain as the longest tenured player in his sixth year with the club. Dylan Cozens (ice Hockey)
Dylan Cozens (born February 9, 2001), nicknamed the "Workhorse from Whitehorse", is a Canadian professional ice hockey centre for the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League (NHL). The Sabres selected him seventh overall in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. He is the first player from Yukon to be a first-round Western Hockey League (WHL) draft pick, a first-round NHL draft pick, and a member of the Canada men's national junior ice hockey team. The Anaheim Ducks are a professional ice hockey team based in Anaheim, California. Maxime Comtois
Maxime Comtois (born January 8, 1999) is a Canadian professional ice hockey left winger for the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League (NHL). Playing career Comtois was drafted by the Victoriaville Tigres third overall in the 2015 QMJHL Entry Draft. On June 24, 2017, Comtois was selected in the second round, 50th overall by the Anaheim Ducks in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. He signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Ducks on March 3, 2018. Comtois made the Ducks' 2018 opening night roster out of training camp. Drake Batherson (born April 27, 1998) is an American-born Canadian professional ice hockey right winger currently playing for the Ottawa Senators of the National Hockey League. He was drafted by the Ottawa Senators in the fourth round, 121st overall of the 2017 NHL draft. Mathew Barzal (born May 26, 1997) is a Canadian professional ice hockey centre for the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League (NHL). Barzal was selected by the Islanders in the first round, 16th overall, of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. He won the Calder Memorial Trophy as the NHL's top rookie in 2017–18, the fifth Islander to win the award. Zach Whitecloud (born November 28, 1996) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman for the Vegas Golden Knights of the National Hockey League (NHL). Whitecloud went undrafted while playing for Bemidji State University. As a college free agent, he signed with the Golden Knights in 2018. Damon Severson (born August 7, 1994) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman for the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected by the Devils in the second round, 60th overall, in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. Growing up in Brandon, Manitoba, Severson began skating at the age of two and enrolled in hockey at the age of four. He played with the Yorkton Harvest of the Saskatchewan Male U18 AAA Hockey League and Melville Millionaires of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League during the 2009–10 season.
