The national flag of Canada (french: le Drapeau national du Canada), often simply referred to as the Canadian flag or, unofficially, as the Maple Leaf or ' (; ), consists of a red field with a white square at its centre in the ratio of , in which is featured a stylized, red, 11-pointed maple leaf charged in the centre. It is the first flag to have been adopted by both houses of Parliament and officially proclaimed by the Canadian monarch as the country's official national flag. The flag has become the predominant and most recognizable national symbol of Canada. In 1964, Prime Minister Lester B. Pearson formed a committee to resolve the ongoing issue of the lack of an official Canadian flag, sparking a serious debate about a flag change to replace the Union Flag. Claire Adams
Claire Adams (; 24 September 1898 – 25 September 1978) was a silent film actress and benefactor. She was born in Canada, studied there and in England, and developed a movie career in Hollywood. She spent the second half of her life in Australia. Death Adams died on 25 September 1978, in Windsor, Victoria, aged 80, and was cremated. Paul Ahmarani (born 1972) is a Canadian actor. Both his parents have a teaching background; one is from Cacouna, Quebec, Cacouna, Bas-Saint-Laurent, Quebec and the other from the Mediterranean coast. Ahmarani is known for his roles in the movies ''The Left-Hand Side of the Fridge'' (''La Moitié gauche du frigo'') and ''How My Mother Gave Birth to Me During Menopause'' (''Comment ma mère accoucha de moi durant sa ménopause'').
