Yavor Dimitrov Yanakiev ( bg, Явор Димитров Янакиев; born 16 May 1985), better known by his stage name 100 Kila ( bg, 100 Кила; also stylized as 100KILA), is a Bulgaria, Bulgarian rapper, actor, songwriter and entrepreneur from Varna, Bulgaria, Varna. His stage name is a short form of the phrase "100 kilograms" in Bulgarian. Biography Early life Yanakiev was born and raised in a Romani people in Bulgaria, Romani neighborhood of concentrated poverty in Asparuhovo, Varna. He lived with his parents and brother, until their father left them. In the mid 90s his mother moved to Greece, in hopes of sustaining her family and to encourage Yavor's education. His parents separated when he was 6. Yavor subsequently moved to his grandmother's home in Targovishte where he studied in school until the 8th grade, before eventually dropping out due to absence and low grades. Gery-Nikol Nikolaeva Georgieva ( bg, Гери-Никол Николаева Георгиева, born 30 July 1998), better known mononymously as Gery-Nikol, is a Bulgarian recording artist who rose to fame in late 2014 after participating in the third season of the singing competition '' X Factor Bulgaria''. Career Gery-Nikol was born on July 30, 1998 in Varna, Bulgaria. In 2014, she auditioned in the Bulgarian version of the reality show ''The X Factor'' as part of the Sweet 16 girl band alongside Hristina Hristova and Mishel Straminski. During the show they received mentorship by Bulgarian rapper Krisko. They left the competition after being eliminated in the seventh live show. In 2015, a few months after her departure from ''The X Factor'', Gery-Nikol signed a record deal with the Bulgarian-German label Facing The Sun. ''Lili'' is a 1953 American film released by MGM. It stars Leslie Caron as a touchingly naïve French girl whose emotional relationship with a carnival puppeteer is conducted through the medium of four puppets. The film won the Academy Award for Best Original Score, and was also entered in the 1953 Cannes Film Festival. It was later adapted for the stage under the title ''Carnival!'' (1961). ''Lea Ivanova'' (13 August 1923 – 28 May 1986) was a Bulgarian jazz singer. Biography Ivanova was born in Dupnitsa, Bulgaria on 13 August 1923. She moved to Constantinople ( Underaged?? ), where she spent the rest of her childhood and sang in the children's choir of the Bulgarian Exarchate. In 1940s, she came back to Bulgaria ( 17 years old ?? ), where her intention was to study art at Sofia, Bulgarian capitol. She joined Slavic Talk jazz orchestra as a soloist instead when saxophonist Leon L'Alfàs suggested her to join. In the early 50s, she performed with various jazz and swing outfits. In 1956, she worked with the orchestras of Christo Vuchkov and Dimitar Ganev for Big Orchestra Concert Directorate conductors of which were Boris Simeonov and Emil Georgiev. Kiril Marichkov
Kiril Marichkov ( bg, Кирил Маричков, 30 October 1944 in Sofia) is a Bulgarian rock musician. Biography Marichkov was born in Sofia and played piano, clarinet, bass-guitar and guitar since young age. In 1963 he founded one of the first Bulgarian rock bands, the "Bandaracite" (''Бъндараците'') and in 1967 one of the most successful bands in Bulgaria during the 70s and 80s (with still many fans) - " Shturtzite" ("The Crickets", ''Щурците''). Since its foundation, Kiril Marichkov has been the frontman (lead vocal, bass guitar and keyboards) of the band. He has also composed a large part of their songs, which approximate 160, in fourteen albums. Shturcite have performed over 2600 concerts in sixteen countries. Kamen Tchanev / Kamen Chanev ( bg, Камен Чанев) (27 August 1964 – 26 November 2020) was a Bulgarian operatic tenor who enjoyed an international career. Early years and education Kamen Tchanev was born in Sliven and studied at the French language school in his home town. In 1991 he graduated from the Bulgarian State Music Academy "Pancho Vladigerov" and in 1992 he specialized at the Boris Hristov Academy of Music and Arts in Rome. He has worked together with Alexandrina Miltcheva, Ghena Dimitrova, and Leone Magiera, Luciano Pavarotti's pianist. In 1994, he was laureate in the Jussi Björling international competition for tenors. Julia Tsenova (also spelled Julia Tzenova, Julia Cenova, or Julia Zenova, bg, Юлия Ценова) ( – ), born in Sofia, Bulgaria, was an award-winning Bulgarian composer, pianist and musical pedagogue. Life and career Julia Tsenova graduated both Composition and Piano in the State Academy of Music in Sofia as a student of Prof. Pancho Vladigerov. Tsenova took part in the International Composers' class in Sofia and Amsterdam, directed by Prof. Ton de Leeuw - the Netherlands (1981, 1982). She attended many workshops in Europe. Her music was performed in different contemporary festivals, as well as at the International Composers' Rostrum in Paris (1995). Since 1997 she was Professor of Piano and Dean at the Pop and Jazz Music Faculty in the State Academy of Music. Ivo Papazov
Ivo Papazov (or Papasov; bg, Иво Папазов; born 16 February 1952), nicknamed Ibryama (), is a Bulgarian clarinetist. He leads the "Ivo Papazov Wedding Band" in performances of jazz-infused Stambolovo music, and is one of the premier creators of the genre known as "wedding band" music in Bulgaria, along with the violinist Georgi Yanev, saxophonist Yuri Yunakov, clarinetist Neshko Neshev and accordionists Ivan Milev and Peter Ralchev. Together with Emilia they are known as Mames 2001. An orchestra that had great success in the TV show ''Познай кой е под масата'' ("Guess who is under the table").
