Bulgaria
Bulgaria (; bg, България, Bǎlgariya), officially the Republic of Bulgaria,, ) is a country in Southeast Europe. Vasil Gendov
Vasil Gendov (Bulgarian: Васил Гендов. Born Vasil Dimov Hadzhigendov (Bulgarian: Васил Димов Хаджигендов); 24 November 1891 – 3 September 1970) was a Bulgarian film and stage actor, film director and screenwriter. Gendov wrote, directed and had a starring role as an actor in the first feature-length film released in Bulgaria; the 1915 silent film comedy ''Bulgaran is Gallant''. Gendov also produced Bulgaria's first sound film ''The Slave's Revolt'' in 1933. Early life and career Born Vasil Dimov Hadzhigendov in Sliven, Gendov studied at the Tears and Laughter Theatre and the Ivan Vazov National Theatre in Sofia between 1905 and 1907. He made his stage debut as an actor in the role of Robert Pfeiffer in Otto Ernst's play ''The Educators''. Todor Kolev (actor)
Todor Petrov Kolev ( bg, Тодор Колев; 26 August 1939 – 15 February 2013) was a leading Bulgarian film and stage actor, singer, comedian and TV presenter. Born in Shumen, his first major film was ''Tsar i General'' ''(Tsar and General)'' in 1966. He has appeared in more than 30 films. He is best known to the Bulgarian audience by his roles in comedies such as ''Gospodin za edin den'' (''King for a day''), ''Dvoynikat'' (''The Double''), ''Prebroyavane na Divite Zaytsi'' (''The Hare Census''), ''Tsarska Piesa'' (''Royal Play''), ''Posledniyat Ergen'' (''The Last Bachelor''), ''Opasen Char'' (''Dangerous Charm''). Nevena Kokanova
Nevena Kokanova ( bg, Невена Коканова) (12 December 1938 – 3 June 2000) was a Bulgarian film actress. She was known as the "first lady of Bulgarian cinema." Her mother was from a well-known Austrian aristocratic family, and her father was a political prisoner. Konstantin Kisimov
Konstantin Vasilev Kisimov ( bg, Константин Василев Кисимов) was a Bulgarian stage and film actor born in 1897, deceased in 1965. He was born in the family of revolutionaries and enlighteners. His father had studied International law in Cambridge University. Naturally Konstantin followed his example and started studying law in the Sofia University and then in the Sorbonne. His love for the stage turned his life. He was admitted to the Acting school of the Ivan Vazov National Theatre and spent there a year before going in on a specialization in Paris in 1924 from where he returned in 1928. At first he was devoted to the theatre, but soon started his career in cinema. He took part in some of the first Bulgarian movies. Asen Kisimov ( bg, Асен Кисимов, also known as Asen Angelov (Bulgarian: Асен Ангелов), 3 May 1936 – 13 July 2005) was a Bulgarian stage and film actor, singer and radio presenter. Apostol Milev Karamitev ( bg, Апостол Милев Карамитев) (1923–1973) was a Bulgarian actor, popular throughout the 1960s. He finished acting under the guidance of B. Danovski. Later he specialized in Moscow, Leningrad, Prague and Warsaw. His debut was in the movie "Utro nad rodinata" (Dawn over the Fatherland) in 1951. Arguably his most famous role was that of the twin-brothers Radosvet and Radostin in the black and white classic Lyubimetz 13 (Favourite number 13). He died before finishing his last film, "Svatbite na Yoan Asen" (The marriages of Yoan Asen), and Kosta Tsonev had to take over his role.
