Brazilian People
Brazilians ( pt, Brasileiros, ) are the citizens of Brazil. A Brazilian can also be a person born abroad to a Brazilian parent or legal guardian as well as a person who acquired Brazilian nationality law, Brazilian citizenship. Brazil is a multiethnic society, which means that it is home to people of many ethnic origins, and there is no correlation between one's stock and their Brazilian identity. Being Brazilian is a civic phenomenon, rather than an ethnic one. As a result, the degree to which Brazilian citizens identify with their ancestral roots varies significantly depending on the individual, the Regions of Brazil, region of the country, and the specific ethnic origins in question. Carlos Lacerda
Carlos Frederico Werneck de Lacerda (30 April 1914 – 21 May 1977) was a Brazilian journalist and politician. Biography Born in Rio de Janeiro, Lacerda was the son of a family of politicians from Vassouras, Rio de Janeiro state. He was the son of the politician, tribune and writer Maurício de Lacerda (1888–1959) and Olga Caminhoá Werneck (1892–1979), being the paternal grandson of Sebastião Lacerda, Minister of the Supreme Federal Court and Minister of Transport in the government of Prudente de Morais. Dulce Damasceno De Brito
Dulce Damasceno de Brito (1926 – 9 November 2008) was a Brazilian journalist specializing in the cinema and, in the 1950s and 1960s, was the first Brazilian woman to be a Hollywood correspondent. She became known for her friendship with the Brazilian actress, Carmen Miranda, and for interviewing many celebrities of the time. Early life Dulce Damasceno de Brito was born in 1926 in Casa Branca in Brazil's São Paulo state. Even as a child, she was interested in the film world. At the age of 17, and already registered as a journalist, she bought a defunct magazine, registering it in her brother's name because she was still a minor. The magazine was short-lived, but it opened the doors to her future success. Damasceno de Brito taught herself English. Coelho Neto
Henrique Maximiano Coelho Neto (February 21, 1864 – November 28, 1934) was a Brazilian writer and politician. He founded and occupied the second chair of the Brazilian Academy of Letters, from 1897 until his death in 1934. He was also the president of the aforementioned Academy in 1926. Life Coelho Neto was born in the city of Caxias, Maranhão, on February 21, 1864. His father was Portuguese, and his mother was an indigenous woman, Ana Silvestre Coelho. At six years of age, his parents moved to Rio de Janeiro. He began his education at the Externato of the Colegio Pedro II. He attempted medical school but soon gave up. In 1883 he enrolled at the University of São Paulo School of Law, living in the boarding house where also lived Raul Pompeia, who attended the Academy of São Paulo at that time. Cristiana Lôbo
Cristiana dos Santos Mendes Lôbo (August 18, 1957 — November 11, 2021) was a Brazilian journalist who worked for GloboNews. Career Lôbo was born in Goiânia, and studied Social Communication at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG). She entered the profession writing sporadically for Folha de Goiás, a local newspaper in Goiânia. In 1978, she was hired as an intern for the policy editor. A year later, she went to the ''O Globo'' branch in Brasília. Still in the country's capital, Lôbo was a sector reporter for several ministries for two years. Francisco de Assis Pinheiro, known professionally as Chico Pinheiro (born 17 June 1953, in Santa Maria), is a Brazilian newscaster and journalist. He is the current editor-in-chief and anchorman of Bom Dia Brasil, the Brazilian news program, aired by Rede Globo. Career Pinheiro was born in Rio Grande do Sul, but moved to his parents' home state of Minas Gerais as a baby. He graduated in journalism by PUC Minas and began his career in Diário de Minas, Jornal do Brasil and TV Globo Minas. Ciro Pessoa Mendes Corrêa (12 June 1957 – 5 May 2020), also known by his Dharma name Tenzin Chöpel, was a Brazilian singer-songwriter, lyricist, guitarist, screenwriter, journalist and poet, famous for being one of the founding members of the influential rock band Titãs and for his later work with pioneering post-punk/gothic rock band Cabine C. Carlos Heitor Cony (March 14, 1926 – January 5, 2018) was a Brazilian journalist and writer. He was a member of the Brazilian Academy of Letters (Portuguese: Academia Brasileira de Letras). Clóvis Beviláqua (4 October 1859 – 26 July 1944) was a Brazilian jurist, historian and journalist born in Viçosa do Ceará, Ceará, in 1859.
