Adult Contemporary is a chart published by ''Billboard'' ranking the top-performing songs in the United States in the adult contemporary music (AC) market. In 2002, nine different songs topped the chart in 52 issues of the magazine, based on weekly airplay data from radio stations compiled by Nielsen Broadcast Data Systems. In the first issue of ''Billboard'' of the new year, the number one song was " Simple Things", a collaboration between pianist Jim Brickman and singer Rebecca Lynn Howard, which moved into the top spot that week. Unusually, despite going all the way to number one on the AC listing, the song did not enter ''Billboard''s all-genre chart, the Hot 100, at all. Brickman, whose recordings mix pop and New-age music, has regularly placed songs on the AC chart since the 1990s, but " Valentine", which reached number 50 in 1997, is his only song ever to cross over to the Hot 100. "A New Day Has Come" is a song by Canadian recording artist Celine Dion for her seventh English-language album of the same name (2002). The song was written by Aldo Nova and Stephan Moccio and produced by Walter Afanasieff and Nova. It was released as the album's lead single on 11 March 2002. O Holy Night
"O Holy Night" (original title: ) is a well-known sacred song for Christmas performance. Originally based on a French-language poem by poet Placide Cappeau, written in 1843, with the first line (Midnight, Christian, is the solemn hour) that composer Adolphe Adam set to music in 1847. Contemporary R&B (or simply R&B) is a popular music genre that combines rhythm and blues with elements of pop, soul, funk, hip hop, and electronic music.
